School is out, summer is here, and the Tween/Teen Area is kicking things off with a full week of fun for students in Grades 4–12!

📅 June 1 — Paper Squishy Plushies
Create up to TWO adorable paper plushies from 1:00–5:00 PM. No registration required. While supplies last!

📅 June 2 — Botanical Bookmark
Design a beautiful bookmark using pressed flowers and keepsakes from your favorite books. Drop in anytime between 10:00 AM–6:00 PM.

📅 June 3 — STEM Wednesday: Lava Lamp
Create your own lava lamp and discover the science behind the reaction!

📚🍕 Read, Eat, Repeat Book Club 🚗✨
Celebrate our 250th Decade Reading Challenge with a groovy 1960s-themed book club this June at the Huron Public Library!

We’ll be reading The Wednesday Wars by Gary D. Schmidt while visiting different local establishments for discussion, activities, and pizza!

📅 Dates: June 4, 11, 18 & 25
📍 Different location each week
⏰ Meeting times vary

⚠️ This is a committed 4-session book club, so participants should plan to attend all dates for the full experience.

📝 A signed trip waiver is REQUIRED since we will be leaving the library for each outing. Registration is also required to ensure accurate food counts. Spots are limited!

⛏️📚 Minecraft Book & Game Club 🎮🌎
Join us this summer at the Huron Public Library for an interactive book club adventure combining reading and Minecraft gameplay!

Participants will read Minecraft: The Island by Max Brooks together as a group. After reaching a set point in the story, participants will complete Minecraft-inspired challenges and activities based on the book.

📅 Dates: June 4, June 18, July 2 & July 16
⏰ Time: 9:30 AM – 11:45 AM

🎮 Limited to 8 library devices available
💻 Participants are encouraged to bring their own device for the best experience
