Sensory Friendly Day at the South Dakota State Fair! 🎡

We had an absolute blast helping make the fair a more welcoming and enjoyable experience for everyone. 💙

Accessibility at the Fair for EVERYONE!
The Center for Independence had the opportunity to tour the Momentum Refresh station at the fairgrounds, and we were incredibly impressed! 🙌
Momentum Refresh provides a fully accessible restroom and personal care space for people with disabilities while enjoying a day at the fair.

🚻 A safe, comfortable and dignified space
If you or someone you're with needs a little—or a lot—of assistance using the restroom, stop by the Momentum Refresh station near the Expo Building. It’s available every day of the fair!

🌟 CFI FOUNDATION COMMUNITY GRANTS — NOW ACCEPTING REQUESTS! 🌟
Have an idea that could make our community more accessible and inclusive for people with disabilities? We want to hear from you!
The CFI Foundation is now accepting community grant requests for projects that help promote independence, inclusion, and community involvement for people with disabilities in Huron and surrounding communities.
Grant requests may support projects such as:
♿ Accessibility improvements
🎉 Inclusive recreation & activities
🚐 Transportation
💻 Technology
🤝 Community participation
💼 Employment opportunities
✨ And other creative ideas that promote independence and inclusion!

Did you stop by our booth at National Night Out last week? We met so many new people, and saw a lot of familiar faces in the park! From setting up, to running our booth, CFI always enjoys the connections that happen out in the community! We handed out a lot of flyers about supports that we offer, and applying for jobs. We hope to hear from those of you that are curious about what supports we can offer, or job opportunities that might peak your interest!

We feel the overwhelming support from everyone, and could not have made it to 50 years with that!
