Recently, a photo of Erie County Sheriff Paul Sigsworth was included in a mailing by the current Republican County commissioners that included more lies about commission candidates Leslie Murray and Marcus Harris. None of those pictured with Sheriff Sigsworth asked him permission to use the photo for political purpose. It was taken at an official event.

Sheriff Sigsworth has attended local events for both local Democratic and Republican parties. He brings his expertise and knowledge when important issues may be on the ballot that may affect public safety. We value not only his participation in these discussions, but also his friendship at picnics, cookoffs and other events he has attended - as the photo below shows.

Sheriff Sigsworth is a proud Democrat. He has stated that he believes it is not appropriate for law enforcement officials to endorse political candidates. As he stated in the Sandusky Register (Oct 27, 2024) article link below, he has not endorsed any candidates in the current election, national, state or local. Vote November 5 to re-elect Sheriff Paul Sigsworth.
