09/14/20 UPDATE. Unfortunately, through no fault of their own, both Autumn and Brody were returned to the Hurst Shelter this morning.
Once again, they are both available for adoption, preferably as a pair, since they are so bonded. If you would like to make an appointment to meet them, please give us a shout at 817-788-7216.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Imagine me and you, I do
I think about you day and night, it's only right
To think about the girl you love and hold her tight
So happy together
Me and you, and you and me
No matter how they toss the dice, it had to be
The only one for me is you, and you for me
So happy together
I can't see me lovin' nobody but you
For all my life
When you're with me, baby the skies'll be blue
For all my life!

He says I can have two!

Introducing Autumn and Brody!
Autumn is a very sweet girl that loves to give hugs. She is about 1-2 years old and weighs 36 pounds, not sure about the breed but her tail is docked so possibly Boxer mix.
Brody is a very sweet guy as well, lab mix possibly 2-3 years old and weighs 58 pounds. These two guys came in together and were found as strays together so if you are interested in adopting them together we could possibly do a discounted adoption fee. Not sure
about cats but should get along with other dogs.
Their adoption fee is $100.00 and that includes microchip, routine vaccinations, and neuter/spay. If you would like to make an appointment to visit today please call 817-788-7216

Update....Adopted!

Walnut our 10 month to 1 year old Dachshund mix had to come back to the shelter because the adopter's cat was not adjusting to the dog and she was fearful that the little guy would get hurt. She said he is sweet and playful was great with her little boy, did great in his kennel and was fine with her cat and other dogs at the apartment complex. He weighs about 18 pounds. He is still a puppy so he will need some training. We will take adoption appointments today if you would like to come visit with him. Please call 817-788-7216.
She did not request a refund but instead wanted to pay his adoption forward. He is fully vetted.

Update ...Adopted
These 3 little ones have not been adopted because of their shy nature, but I believe that kitty lovers that read this post will understand that with patience and understanding these angels will grow into cats that are confident and loving.
Cats who appear anxious in the shelter environment aren’t necessarily shy at home. Even fairly confident cats can become cautious in the shelter environment. After all, who wouldn’t feel a little anxious surrounded by all those new sounds, smells, cats, and people! When these cats go home with a new family, they often regain their outgoing nature within days.

I found this little guy on Sept 6, 2020 on the Randol Mill bridge over I-30. If you recognize him, please contact me, we are trying to get him back home.
This lil boo bear found me. It’s lost & wants to go home. Amazing cat. I’m in love, I do not like cats. This is my person!!
Ruger has already made himself at home! We are in love & big sister Zeva is slowly adjusting. With time & training he's going to become the perfect fit for us & service dog for my husband.
Found somebody’s bull terrier in my yard scared and hiding in the bushes. She has on a ruggrats collar on mostly black w white spots. Plz contact me if she’s yours 4694939479
Found this pretty girl hiding in the bushes trying to find her home. Plz share!
Hello, I lost my dog August 26 around the North Richland Hills/Hurst area. He is a small chihuahua dog with a white spot in his chest. He is wearing a blue collar with his name tag on it. If it’s not on, his name is Hachi and he is 2 years old. We do not live here, we evacuated from hurricane Laura and would love to go back home with Hachi. Please if anyone has seen him or know anything, contact me please. My name is Linda and this is my phone number 713-903-5058 . Thank you
I found this girl hiding in the bushes in my backyard need help finding her home. Plz help
We found a scrawny cat at Clear the Shelter, week last year (2019). I felt sorry for him. So, I grabbed him and put my "Adopted" sign on his cage. And, so his story begins... He needed some TLC and some veterinary care, but today is big and healthy, and he's loving lounging around with us, in his forever home here in Hurst.
*** Max is still missing *** $2000 reward if found** Max went missing 7-3-2020 off of Edd Rd & 175 on Beauford Rd , Dallas Texas 75253. Max has been with us since he was 6 weeks old , he is now 4 years old, our family misses him very much... He is a brown & black German Shepard some white , he is considered a red German Shepard. Medium hair length, unfortunately was not wearing his collar the day he went missing... Max is microchipped and the chip company has been alerted , he is friendly but will be scared of strangers trying to grab him, he loves to play fetch and has recently learned to swim. Please help bring Max home !
Sylvie is a tabby, multi colored cat, 2.5 years old. She has interesting patterns. She is mainly silver and dark grey but has some orange/golden tones in her fur that is very distinctive. She is a medium sized cat but a little plump, you can tell she gets plenty of treats. She responds well to being called by her name but she is an indoor cat so I don’t know how well she comes to strangers. We have NO idea how she got out and how she disappeared so quickly as she never wonders off. We strongly feel as though someone in the area has her. We have looked for her nonstop with no luck. This is a devastating thing for our family and we won’t give up until she’s found. She does have a chip and she has been fixed. She is extremely friendly but really only used to her family. She’s been missing since 7/25, last seen near Booth Calloway Road. We are offering a reward to get our family member back.
Looking for a small kitten. Is there any available
