Husser Fire Department continuously strives to stay up to date with the latest best practices, education, and skills in EMS care.

This week, three members of our department ranging from a First Responder, EMT, and Paramedic who also serve as EMS instructors for our department, are attending the LANREMT EMS Conference. Throughout the week they will participate in classroom education, hands-on skill sessions, and simulation training to further strengthen their knowledge and abilities.

By continuing our education and training, we remain committed to providing the highest level of care possible to the citizens we proudly serve. 🚒⚕️

Husser Fire Department had an absolute blast hanging out with Cub Scout Group 119! 🚒🔥

Who knew firefighters are just big kids themselves 🫣 😂

The scouts got some hands-on firefighter fun with hose handling challenges and let’s just say Fire Chief Vernon showed them how it’s done. Kids had a blast by trying to be the first to knock the ball down the fastest. 💪🎯

But the kids decided they needed a little extra firefighter attention… so naturally they made sure Captain/Paramedic Hebert got taken down too 😂

From learning fire safety to making unforgettable memories, these scouts kept us laughing all day long. Thank y’all for spending the day with us

Today, Husser Fire Department had the honor of spending the day with Cub Scout Pack 119 for a fun-filled fire prevention event! 🚒🔥

The scouts got to:
👨‍🚒 Meet firefighters
📞 Learn when and how to call 911
🏠 Talk about having a family escape plan in case of a fire
🧯 Check out the tools and equipment firefighters use every day
🥚 And finish the day with an awesome egg drop competition!

We love opportunities like this to teach fire safety while making memories with our community’s future leaders. Thank you to Pack 119 for having us — we had a blast! 🤙🚒

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Their courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting our freedom will never be forgotten.

From all of us at the Husser Fire Department, we extend our deepest gratitude to the fallen heroes and the families who carry their legacy every day.

As we gather with family and friends this Memorial Day, may we take a moment to reflect on the true meaning of this day and remember those who gave everything for us. 🇺🇸

Today, the men and women of the Husser Fire Department took time to celebrate something just as important as the job itself… our families. ❤️🚒

To every spouse, child, parent, grandparent, and loved one — thank you. Thank you for the sacrifices you make so we can answer the call to serve our community.

Thank you for the long nights, the interrupted dinners, the missed weekends, holidays, birthdays, ballgames, and family events. Thank you for understanding when the tones drop and duty calls. Your support, patience, and love are the backbone of this department.

Behind every firefighter is a family that serves too.

Today was about appreciating the people who stand beside us through every call, every storm, and every late-night response. We are grateful for each and every one of you.

From our Husser fire family to yours — thank you for being part of the reason we’re able to do what we do. ❤️🔥

Today we honor the incredible mothers of the Husser Volunteer Fire Department family.

While the world celebrates with flowers, lunches, and time at home, many of you continue answering calls, serving this community, and putting others before yourselves even on Mother’s Day.

To the moms who leave the dinner table when the tones drop…
To the moms balancing sleepless nights, busy homes, and the fire service…
To the moms raising strong families while standing strong for this community…

Thank you.

Your strength doesn’t go unnoticed. Your sacrifices matter. And the love you pour into both your families and this department is something truly special.

Today we celebrate not only the firefighters you are, but the mothers you are. Compassionate. Selfless. Resilient. Fierce.

From all of us at Husser Fire — Happy Mother’s Day to the amazing women who continue to show up, both at home and when our community needs them most. ❤️🚒

🔥 Recognizing Our Own on International Firefighter day 🔥

Today, we proudly recognize the men and women of the Husser Fire Department—our neighbors, our protectors, our family.

Whether it’s fighting fires, responding to emergencies, training tirelessly, or standing ready at a moment’s notice—you do it all with heart and dedication.

You are the calm in chaos.
The strength when others need it most.
The ones who show up—no matter the time, no matter the call.

Today, we remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice and stand in gratitude for those who continue to serve.
