Well...that aged poorly. 😅

Just after announcing a delayed opening, the weather had additional thoughts.

Salt City Splash will now be closed for the day (Thursday, June 18) due to weather conditions.

Note: Evening swim lessons will continue as scheduled!

For the record, we were rooting for a come back. See you tomorrow 👋

💦 BREAKING NEWS 💦

To allow the current weather system to move through, we’ll delay opening until 1:30 PM today.

Salt City Splash has informed the weather that it is, in fact, summer.

The weather has declined to comment.

This week's poolside icons are Becca & Maliyah 🛟✨

🌊 Becca is the definition of dependable. She works hard, stays focused, and is always ready to jump into action when needed. Whether she's keeping a close eye on the pool or stepping up to make saves, she handles her responsibilities like a pro. Her dedication and leadership set an amazing example for the rest of the team, and we're incredibly grateful to have her keeping the Splash running safely!

🌊 Maliyah may be one of our newest guards, but she's already making a huge splash. She picked up the job quickly, stays locked in while on stand, and brings great awareness to everything she does. Off stand, she's always ready to help teammates, spread good vibes, and keep the fun going. Her positive attitude and personality have made her a perfect addition to our lifeguard family.

Before the gates opened on Thursday this week, we welcome some VIP's to take over the 50-meter pool.

The Hutchinson Fire HFD spent the morning running rescue drills and sharpening their water safety skills in our 50-meter pool. We're grateful for the partnership and for everything they do to keep our community safe.

And yes… before anyone asks…
There may have been a slightly competitive race down the big slides. 👀

🚨 LIFEGUARDS OF THE WEEK ALERT 🚨
This week's MVP's are Daniel & Tate!

Daniel (aka Danny) is back for year two and has officially entered his "legend status" era. He's a leader, a role model, and somehow manages to take the job seriously while still keeping things fun. Whether he's jumping in to help teammates or taking initiative without being asked, Danny is always making waves (the good kind). Thanks for being awesome, Danny!

Tate is in his first season at the Splash, but you'd never know it. He's jumped into the role with a great attitude and isn't afraid to tackle challenges both on and off the stand. His hard work and positive mindset have definitely not gone unnoticed. We're lucky to have you on the team, Tate!

Give these two a 👏 in the comments next time you see them keeping everyone safe this summer.
