👶 Curious child + unsecured ni****ne products = a dangerous combination.

Vapes, ni****ne pouches, e-liquids, and other ni****ne products can pose serious health risks to children if they are accidentally swallowed, touched, or inhaled.

The Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE), in partnership with Safe Kids Kansas, Kansas Maternal and Child Health, and the Kansas Poison Center, has created a new resource: “Vapes, Ni****ne and Kids: What Every Caregiver Should Know.”

This helpful guide can help parents, caregivers, and childcare providers:
✅ Recognize common ni****ne products that may be harmful to children
✅ Understand how accidental exposure can happen
✅ Learn safe storage and disposal practices
✅ Identify signs of ni****ne poisoning and know when to seek emergency help
✅ Find support resources, including the Kansas To***co Quitline

The Reno County Health Department encourages families and caregivers to review this important safety information and share it with others who care for children.

Together, we can help keep Reno County kids safe and healthy. 💙
