👋🏼🚨 Friendly reminders from your local EMS crews:
1. Iced coffee or energy drinks (looking at all my coworkers here 👀) are NOT proper hydration tools… WATER, WATER, and WATER ARE!
2. Humans are not meant to be air fried! Just ✨stay inside✨.
3. Check on your people, your dogs people, and any people outside and call us if they look unwell.
4. If we didn’t already say this…. Just stay inside and drink ya water!

Make sure to stay hydrated and inside/in the AC between noon and October

Last night was an absolute splash! 💦🚑🚒🚓

Thanks to everyone who came out for National Night Out and joined us, as well as our friends from HPD and HFD for some friendly competition.

We may never settle who really won the water fight… but we’re pretty sure the kids did. 😉

We love opportunities like this to connect with our community outside of emergencies. Thanks to Salt City Brewing Company for hosting and making it such a fun night! We are already looking forward to next year! 💙🚑

☀️ Mother Nature turned the thermostat all the way up today. 🥵

Don’t let the heat get the best of you! Drink plenty of water, find some shade or A/C, and take frequent breaks if you’re outside. Know the signs of heat related illness!

🚑 Heat Exhaustion: Sweating, dizziness, weakness, nausea.
🚨 Heat Stroke: Confusion, unconsciousness, or a temperature above 103°F.

Stay safe, stay hydrated, stay cool, and remember… sweating is normal, becoming an oven is not. 🌡️☀️

Reno County EMS is proud to introduce a new generation of leadership within our organization with the appointment of our inaugural EMS Team Captains:

-Denton Douglas-Reisner, Paramedic
-Kyli McGreevy, Paramedic
-Andrea Tindall, Paramedic

Created to support the continued growth of our agency, the EMS Team Captain position blends advanced clinical expertise with leadership, mentorship, training, and quality improvement initiatives. The Captains will also serve as Critical Care Paramedics, providing advanced patient care while helping guide crews, support critical care transport operations, and foster the development of the next generation of EMS professionals.

This role represents an investment in our people, our patients, and the future of EMS in Reno County.

The individuals selected for these positions bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and knowledge that will significantly enhance the capability and quality of care our system provides. Their unique strengths will help us continue to grow, improve, and strengthen the services we offer to our community. 🚑🎉

Ready for the parade. 👋🏼 Ready for the calls. 📞Ready to serve. 🚑 💨 (we won’t talk about the storms this morning)

Today we’re proud to celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, the community we’re honored to serve, and the tradition of participating in the annual Patriots Day Parade.

Our parade crew had a chance to stop and smile for a few photos… our on-duty crews, not so much.. they’ve been a little too busy for picture day. 😉 but we know they’re having just as much fun!

As you celebrate with family and friends, remember to celebrate responsibly. Stay hydrated 💦, keep a safe distance from fireworks (put it in reverse, Terry 🏃💨) and NEVER drink and drive 🚫
