Rules of Engagement for Hutto ISD Social Media Platforms
Hutto ISD's Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Instagram accounts are provided for the district community by the Hutto ISD Communications and Community Relations Department. We will update this page as often as possible to share as much as we can about Hutto ISD and the achievements of the students and staff as well as other relevant district c

ommunity information. All posting of comments on any Social Media page are at the discretion of the page administrators. The intent of this policy is not to keep any negative or critical information from being posted, but to protect the privacy and rights of Hutto ISD staff and students. Naming specific employees or students in a negative way will not be allowed (and is just generally rude). The page administrators will review all postings to make sure they do not run afoul of the rules nor of the district’s Acceptable Use Guidelines regarding the Internet and the Hutto ISD Electronic Communications System. We welcome your thoughts and comments and look forward to what you have to say. However, we will not leave postings that:

■Break the law or encourage others to do so. If you are talking about somebody else’s work, reference this or the person, and where possible include a link.
■Contain abusive or inappropriate language or statements. This includes remarks that are racist, homophobic, and sexist as well as those that contain obscenities or are sexually explicit.
■Easily identify students and/or staff in defamatory, abusive, or generally negative terms.
■Do not show proper consideration for others’ privacy or are considered likely to offend or provoke others – i.e. don’t pick fights or goad others into inflammatory debates. Nobody likes a bully.
■Are spam or unsolicited advertisements– i.e. repeatedly posting the same comment or comments that are simply advertising/promoting a service or product.
■The page administrators reserve the right to not post or remove any comments at any time, for any reason…but we hope that won’t ever be necessary. If you have a comment or would like to report an inappropriate comment for us to review, send an e-mail to [email protected]. Please note, you can also receive e-mail and phone text messages of our updates as they are posted through the settings of your personal Facebook or Twitter account.

🧡🦛 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗜𝗦 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗬𝗪𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗔𝗧 𝗖𝗢𝗧𝗧𝗢𝗡𝗪𝗢𝗢𝗗 𝗖𝗥𝗘𝗘𝗞!

From Mrs. McCullough making place value concrete with hands-on math, to Mrs. Martell giving students the floor to explain their thinking, to Mrs. Gardner bringing movement into academic vocabulary, Cottonwood Creek educators are creating classrooms where students are active participants in their learning.

Add targeted support from the campus Instructional Support Coach and a visit from Watch D.O.G.S. volunteer Mr. Johnson, and you see what happens when teachers, families and support staff all contribute to the same goal: helping every student grow.

That’s a whole-campus . 🧡

Our Hippos battled to the final whistle against Harker Heights — final score 50-53. Heartbreaker, but this team never stopped fighting. Proud of every player who put it on the line for Hutto Friday night. 🧡

Onward, Hippo Nation. 💪

🔍🧡 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗟𝗜𝗞𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗜𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗦!

At Kerley Elementary, Ms. Hampton is giving her first graders more than a lesson on science tools. She’s giving them opportunities to think, choose and explain.

By asking students to decide which tools they would use and defend their reasoning, Ms. Hampton is helping build critical-thinking, problem-solving and communication skills right alongside their science knowledge.

Those are the kinds of learning experiences that help our youngest Hippos become confident thinkers. 🧡

🏆🦛 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞 𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗪𝗜𝗡𝗦!

Before the first whistle, kickoff or competition, there’s a lot of work happening behind the scenes to make sure our student-athletes and programs are ready.

As Coach Compton shared, 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗴𝗮𝗱𝗼 has worked tirelessly from day one to help ensure 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 was ready to begin the year. That kind of commitment makes a difference across Hippo Nation. 🧡💙

🧡🦛 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗗𝗢𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗧 𝗠𝗘𝗔𝗡 𝗧𝗢 𝗕𝗘 𝗔 𝗙𝗨𝗧𝗨𝗥𝗘-𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗬 𝗛𝗜𝗣𝗣𝗢?

It’s more than academics. It’s being intentional about the future, prepared for life, positive in character and open to growth.

And families help build those traits, too.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆?
Ask better questions. Show up to campus events. Know who to ask. Talk about every path. And model what it looks like to figure things out along the way.

👉 Swipe through to meet the H-I-P-P-O traits we want every student to carry with them into whatever comes next.
