Our NJES Pink Hippos are making the most of summer break! 💖🦛☀️

Some have stayed close to home enjoying restaurants and fun around Hutto, while others have traveled all the way to Ouray, Colorado! 🏔️ From local adventures to mountain views, these hippos are definitely keeping busy this summer.

We can’t wait to see where they pop up next!

Our teachers were each given a pink hippo to take along on their summer adventures and document their fun along the way. Here’s our very first vacation sighting… looks like this hippo is going somewhere exciting on Southwest! 💕

Full circle moments like these are so special. 🧡 We loved welcoming back our graduating seniors to the place where their educational journey began. Seeing how much they’ve grown while walking the halls of NJES again was a reminder of the incredible things ahead for each of them. Once a Hippo, always a Hippo! 🎓🦛✨

When you accidentally twin with Coach… 😎🎮

Coach Williams and one of our first graders showed up matching in Pac-Man shirts while playing a game of Pac-Man in PE today! Of course they had to stop for a quick picture together. Sometimes the best moments are totally unplanned! 👾🟡✨

Sweet success tastes even better with popsicles! 🍦🎉

Students in Ms. Martin and Mrs. Derrett’s classes celebrated their hard work and growth on MAP assessments with a popsicle party! We are so proud of the progress these students have made through dedication, perseverance, and a whole lot of learning. Keep up the great work! 👏📚

Sunshine, sidewalk chalk, and sweet goodbyes ☀️🧡

Mr. Quinn’s class took their writing outside today to create heartfelt goodbye notes in chalk as we wrap up the school year. Such a fun and meaningful way to celebrate memories, friendships, and all the growth from this year! ✏️

Our fifth grade scientists put their bubble solutions to the test today! 🫧🔬 Students investigated the durability of bubbles made with shampoo, dish soap, and hand soap by timing how long each bubble lasted before popping.

Ask your student which solution created the longest-lasting bubbles! 👀
