Hutto Police Department Arrests Six in Multi-Agency Child Exploitation.
On August 22 and 23, 2026, the Hutto Police Department (HPD) conducted a multi-agency child exploitation operation focused on identifying and apprehending adults suspected of using online platforms to seek illegal sexual activity involving children.
The operation focused primarily on individuals believed to be seeking sexual contact with children under the age of 15. It was conducted as part of HPD’s continuing efforts to protect children, identify individuals who may pose a threat to minors, and deter child exploitation in Hutto and across Central Texas.
The operation was a department wide effort involving personnel from every unit and division of the Hutto Police Department. HPD was joined by several partner agencies and organizations that provided specialized personnel, expertise, intelligence, tactical resources, communications support, and other assistance.
The Williamson County TX, Sheriff's Office provided tactical and criminal intelligence personnel. The Texas Department of Public Safety, Round Rock Police Department, and Williamson County Emergency Services Communications also provided personnel and operational support. Darkhorse Benefits, a nonprofit organization, provided specialized expertise and resources in support of these complex investigations.
As a result of the operation, six individuals were arrested:
A 55-year-old Georgetown man was arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor.
A 28-year-old Pflugerville man was arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor.
A 37-year-old Hutto man was arrested for Attempted Sexual Performance by a Child.
A 29-year-old Round Rock man was arrested for Attempted Sexual Performance by a Child.
A 43-year-old Leander man was arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor.
A 34-year-old Round Rock man was arrested for Online Solicitation of a Minor.
The charges listed reflect the offenses alleged at the time of arrest. These investigations remain ongoing, and charges may be amended, enhanced, or additional charges may be filed as further evidence is reviewed, and the cases proceed through the criminal justice system.
HPD extends its appreciation to the Williamson County TX, Sheriff's Office, Texas Department of Public Safety, Round Rock Police Department, Williamson County Emergency Services Communication division, and Darkhorse Benefits for their contributions to the operation.
HPD also thanks the Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas, CLEAT, Baked 'n Sconed, and Regions Bank for their assistance in supporting those involved in the operation.
Operations of this nature require extensive planning, coordination, specialized investigative work, and significant resources. The Hutto Police Department is grateful to every person and organization that contributed to this effort and remains committed to working with its law enforcement and community partners to protect children and hold those who seek to exploit them accountable through the criminal justice system.
