🔬💧 Science in Action! 💧🔬

Coach Rushing’s 6th grade scientists are getting hands-on with volume! 🧪 Students are using the water displacement method to determine the volume of different objects and see how science concepts come to life through investigation and discovery.

But they’re not done yet! 👀

What an incredible way to kick off our first Farley Middle School NJHS meeting of the year! 🦛📚
We are SO proud of our students! This year, more than twice as many students were invited to participate in NJHS based on their outstanding academic achievement and positive behavior—and we are excited to celebrate that FMS NJHS now has 40 members! 🎉👏
But membership is about more than just good grades—it’s about character, leadership, and service. Our NJHS members must maintain an 85 or higher average in all classes and complete at least 20 hours of community service to remain members of the National Junior Honor Society. 🤝❤️
✨ Stay tuned to see all the amazing things our NJHS students accomplish this year! We know they are going to make a BIG impact! 🦛💙

We can’t wait to see what these 40 young leaders accomplish this year as they serve, lead, and make a difference throughout Farley Middle School and our community!

Our 8th grade scientists put their engineering and problem-solving skills to the test as they used the Engineering Design Process and Scientific Method to design, build, test, and improve their very own bridges!

From the first sketch to the final test, students collaborated, made predictions, analyzed results, learned from failures, and redesigned their structures to create the strongest bridge possible. 💪🌉

These students are proving that science isn’t just something you learn—it’s something you DO! 🧡
