Lee Martinez Elementary School Lee Martinez Elementary opened in Fall 2025 as Hutto ISD’s eighth—and newest—elementary school.

The campus is located at 301 Main Hippo Drive, adjacent to the Ninth Grade Center.

This week at LMES, we’ve been Caught Being Proactive! 🌟

Habit 1: Be Proactive is all about understanding that you’re in charge of your choices, your attitude, and your actions. Our students showed what that looks like in action by stepping up, helping others, taking initiative, and taking responsibility for their learning.

We’re celebrating three incredible members of the LMES family who are helping us LEVEL UP every day! 🚀🦛

⭐ Madison Barbee – Teacher
Madison serves our campus as a leader in the SPED department, bringing dedication and a commitment to helping our students succeed. We are so grateful for the difference she makes each day!

🧡 Martina Alvarado – Support Staff
As our campus receptionist, Martina is often one of the first friendly faces our students, families, and staff see. Her kindness, professionalism, and welcoming spirit help make LMES a special place to be!

🏆 Gabriel Casares – 4th Grade Student
Gabriel is an outstanding student leader who consistently sets a positive example for others. He proudly serves our campus as a member of the Junior Lighthouse Team and Safety Patrol, showing responsibility, kindness, and leadership each day. We are proud of the way Gabriel represents LMES and helps make our school a wonderful place to learn and grow!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the family of Mr. Lee Martinez for blessing our teachers and staff with special back-to-school treats—and an extra-special gift of school supplies for our classrooms and students in need! ✏️📚

Mr. Martinez had a deep love for the students of Hutto, and his legacy of caring for children and education continues to make a difference at Lee Martinez Elementary.

We are so grateful to his granddaughter, Cristi Cross, and daughter, Lupie Palacios, for keeping his spirit of generosity alive and supporting our LMES family. What a beautiful way to honor his legacy! 💙🦛
