Get ready to rock! 🎸 The 3rd Annual Veterans Rock! Free Music Festival 2026 at Cape Cod Beer is coming to Hyannis on Saturday, July 25, from noon to 6:00 PM! 🇺🇸

This high-energy day brings our entire community together to honor those who served. Best of all? It is FREE TO ATTEND & OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!

Come out and enjoy a powerhouse lineup of live rock music, refreshing local craft brews, and delicious eats from veteran-owned food trucks. 🍻

The festival is once again generously hosted by decorated veteran Art Devine and his sons of Club 9 Ball, who will be headlining the stage. Get ready for legendary riffs, toe-tappin' beats, and incredible vocals from this year's stellar six-band lineup:

Today, we honor the 82nd anniversary of Operation Overlord (D-Day), June 6, 1944—a defining moment in history when Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy in the fight for freedom.

Operation Overlord was the codename for the Battle of Normandy, the Allied operation that launched the successful liberation of German-occupied Western Europe during World War II.

On Omaha Beach, American service members faced unimaginable odds. Many never made it off the sand. Thousands gave their lives that day, and thousands more are laid to rest overlooking those same shores at the Normandy American Cemetery.

We remember their courage. We honor their sacrifice. And we carry forward their legacy.

At Cape & Islands Veterans Outreach Center, we stand in gratitude for those who served and those who never came home. Their bravery continues to inspire our mission to support the veterans of today.

We will never forget.

Mark your calendars for a summer celebration dedicated to supporting local veterans! 🇺🇸 We are incredibly grateful to Balise Ford of Cape Cod and Big Nick's Ride for the Fallen for hosting a food drive from July 1st through July 18th, 2026, with all donations coming to our veterans through the Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center.

When: Saturday, July 18th from 10 AM to 4 PM
Where: Balise Ford, 90 High School Road Ext., Hyannis
The Fun: Live broadcast from Pixy 103, music, prizes, food, drinks, the Barnstable K-9 Unit, and the Junior ROTC! 🍔

Cape veterans, get ready to cast a line and enjoy one of our most popular yearly traditions!🛥️🎣 Join CIVOC for an all-inclusive flounder fishing excursion aboard Albatross Fishing on Tuesday, June 16. This trip is a community favorite, offering a great day of fishing and camaraderie on the water with fellow veterans. 🇺🇸

We’ll depart Sesuit Harbor, Dennis at 1:00 PM (please arrive by 12:30 PM) and will provide a bag lunch for everyone on board. Pre-registration is required, so call CIVOC at 508.237.3349 to secure your spot! (Limited availability, Cape veterans only please.)

What an incredible time this past weekend at the Cape Cod Classics Car Club Show! 🏁

Our Outreach & Programs Manager, Barbara-Anne Foley, was on-site manning our Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center resource table at Patriots Square in South Dennis. It was fantastic connecting with many local Veterans, sharing information about our services, and enjoying great music and beautiful cars from across the eras!

Yesterday, the community gathered at the Chatham Community Center for a deeply moving Memorial Day Ceremony. 🇺🇸❤️

Cape and Islands Veterans Outreach Center was honored to be a part of this special day. Barbara-Anne Foley, Outreach & Program Manager, shared a presentation on the upcoming arrival of The Wall That Heals in Yarmouth, MA this September, while her husband, Deacon John Foley, delivered the beautiful Invocation and Benediction. CIVOC Board Member Jim Roach was also in attendance to show support for our local heroes.

The room was filled with incredible veterans and their families, including 102-year-old Mr. Zippo and his son Tony, and 94-year-old JoAnn Allen Sprague, who proudly served as a Second Lieutenant in the Women's Army Corps (WAC). 🎖️

Seeing generations come together to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice is a powerful reminder of why our community mission at CIVOC matters so much. Thank you to everyone who shared in this sacred day of remembrance.

Today on Memorial Day, our hearts are completely full. ❤️🤍💙 The talented Bayberry Quilters of Cape Cod crafted this beautiful patriotic quilt for 106-year-old, oldest living Pearl Harbor survivor, local veteran, Freeman Johnson. CIVOC's own Barbara-Anne Foley had the absolute honor of hand-delivering it to him today.

As soon as he received it, he immediately pulled it on and got cozy!

It is a true honor to celebrate our heroes on this special Memorial Day. 🇺🇸

Among the dwindling number of Pearl Harbor survivors is Freeman Johnson, who is considered the oldest among them. The Centerville, Mass., resident recently turned 106.
