Hyannis Fire Department will be hosting a public CPR class on Saturday, June 13 from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM at the Hyannis Fire Department.
Participants will learn Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED use, and choking emergencies. CPR certification cards will be provided upon completion.
This course is intended for the general public and is not a healthcare provider certification course.
To register, call (508) 775-1300 and Press 2 to speak with Sara in Fire Prevention.

Water Quality Update 💧| June 10, 2026

Pet Advisories have been REMOVED from Hamblin Pond, Marstons Mills; Hinckley Pond, Barnstable; and Mystic Lake, Marstons Mills.

At this time, ALL Barnstable monitored ponds were found to be acceptable. There are no current water quality advisories.

NOTICE: Eugenia Fortes Beach Way to Water Closed to Vehicular Traffic

The Town of Barnstable will be temporarily closing the Eugenia Fortes Beach Way to Water to vehicular traffic as of Wednesday, June 10, 2026. No vehicles are to be driven on the beach to launch vessels. This closure will be temporary in nature and is due to endangered nesting shore birds in the area. Vehicle access will be restored as soon as possible.

Barnstable Harbormaster's Division shared a great morning with the members of Cotuit Rowing Club discussing one of the most important topics on the water: safety.

Life jackets and personal flotation devices aren't just equipment, they're lifesaving tools. Conditions can change quickly, and being prepared is every boater's responsibility.

Thank you to the club for its commitment to safe rowing and helping keep our waterways safe for everyone.
