Poolees and Applicants from RSS Springfield conduct a monthly pool function on 13 August 2022 at Skinner State Park. The group participated in a 5 mile conditioning hike to the top of Mt. Holyoke to prepare for the rigors of Recruit Training at Parris Island, South Carolina.
And they're off!
Yesterday we said goodbye to Poolees Skolnik, Brand, and Pcash! Next time we see them, they will be United States Marines!

U.S. Marines with Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) conduct a training exercise aboard Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Iwakuni, Japan. ARFF conducts regular training to ensure they are prepared to respond to emergencies aboard the air station. Hand line drills are designed to help Marines develop a better understanding of the flow of water pressure while using handheld equipment.

Today we had our monthly Pool Function where we got to show and teach the future Marines about the events that happened on this day 20 years ago. Thank you Plymouth Fire for allowing us to Remember with you at a beautiful ceremony.
All of our workouts today revolved around the events of 9/11 and allowed us to honor those that lost their lives for us.

Saturday's Pool Function started with knowledge then the Future Marines ran their initial strength test and then had to end the day with some competition. We all know who really won!

Big welcome to Cape Cods newest poolee Joshua Decorte! He took the first step to becoming a United States Marine. He is now a member of the Delayed Entry Program where he will train with the Cape Cod Marines mentally and physically in order to prepare for bootcamp next year!

Congratulations to Lucas Remsen, class of 2022 at Falmouth High School , on enlisting in the United States Marine Corps!!
Poolee Remsen decided to enlist as a Reservist so he can focus on his education full-time, while serving as a Marine part-time.
He will be in the Delayed Entry Program for the entirety of his senior year, which allows him to train with the Marine Recruiters to prepare him mentally and physically for the challenge of earning the title UNITED STATES MARINE.
As a Reservist, once he completes his initial training he will return to the local area to focus on his individual goals while also reaping the benefits of being a Marine to place himself ahead of his peers.
We're late posting this but HUGE congratulations to Travis Moreau, a graduate from Barnstable High School, on enlisting into the United States Marine Corps!
Welcome to the team! We look forward to seeing how far you will go in your time in the Marine Corps, and after!
Memorial Day weekend, no other way to spend it than honoring those who have gone before you. The Cape Cod Marines were offered the opportunity to participate in the Troops in the Spotlight event hosted by . It was an amazing experience being able to meet and honor the Veterans from Vietnam and bond with the Old Devil Dogs from the Marine Corps League.
Shout out to Private Goodwin! He called and sent a selfie saying how much fun he had in bootcamp! Now he is going through Marine Combat Training and probably having a blast there too.
