ICYMI: PG Park Police did their Annual Secret Santa surprise for eight-year-old Mason, his siblings – six-year-old twins Hayward and Haley, and an older fourteen year-old brother – that were living in their mother’s truck, after facing eviction from their apartment. Unfortunately, homelessness had become their norm.

Following a dinner provided by Dave & Busters in Capital Heights, the children were gifted clothing, toys, gift cards and cash completely raised by the officers! The M-NC Park Police in partnership with the State's Attorney's Office and other community sponsors, like IAD Auto provided the Green family of five will have a warm and safe place to stay, and a newer vehicle, as they wait for their housing application through a Prince George’s County program to be processed, and hopefully, approved! #HappyHolidays #SecretSanta #SeasonofGiving

This past Saturday, the City of Hyattsville Police Department hosted the 16th Annual Shop With A Cop event. During this time of the year it is often easy to forget how blessed and fortunate we are. Our officers participation, as well as the many other officers from surrounding jurisdictions, was very much appreciated by Chief Awad. All of the children were very excited and were happy to have the opportunity to interact with an officer in a positive way. Although it was a cloudy Saturday morning, the officers brought a little sunshine into the life of a child. Thank you to everyone who helped make this event a huge success! #PGParkPolice #PGParks #ShopWithACop

Tuesday several officers helped us take my mother on her final journey home. They had also helped take my father 6 months ago. These officers showed us how much they care about our family even the ones we just met. No way can we thank them enough for all they have done for us in our time of need. Thank you for the love, for the tears and the respect. You are the greatest.
May each and everyone of you be granted the desires of your heart during this season and be protected from all hurt, harm, and danger. Happy Holidays 🎄
