Community Youth Advance was incorporated in 2017, after a merger between two well-established nonprofits in Prince George's County serving more than 600 youth each year with programs providing mentorship, tutoring, experiential learning, entrepreneurial education, and post-secondary pathways under three mission pillars: Teach, Reach and Keep.

Congratulations to Bella from JLA.

Bella was the lucky winner of a 50” TV during the final day of Summer Academy 2026! Even more impressive, she was one of 45 scholars who achieved 100% attendance throughout the program.

Her commitment, consistency, and dedication paid off in more ways than one! We’re incredibly proud of all of our scholars who showed up every day ready to learn, grow, and make the most of their summer.

Flashback Friday!! Our students don’t just participate—they lead.

At the MoMENtum Conference, Jeners proudly represented Community Youth Advance by welcoming guests, answering questions, and sharing information about our programs and the impact they’re making in our community.

Opportunities like these help our scholars develop confidence, strengthen their communication skills, and gain real-world leadership experience while serving as ambassadors for CYA.

Learning reached new heights at Tree Trekkers! Our scholars combined adventure with education as they explored the science behind forces, motion, and structural design while navigating the aerial course. By collecting real-world data and analyzing how engineering principles keep climbers safe, students experienced STEM concepts in action and strengthened their critical thinking skills.
At Community Youth Advance, we believe the best learning happens when students can see, experience, and apply what they're taught.
