Haida Watchmen The Haida Watchmen is the Search and Rescue Team/EMS squad for Hydaburg Alaska, operated by Hydaburg The lead captain of the vessel and crew is Tony Sanderson.

The Haida Watchmen is Hydaburg's search and rescue/EMS team, and is the name of the new search and rescue vessel which was purchased with a grant written by Doreen Witwer, the Hydaburg Cooperative Association Tribal Administrator. Doreen wrote and submitted this very successful grant to the Alaska State Legislature. The vessel is outfitted with state of the art equipment, twin 300 hp Yamaha outboa

rds, rescue equipment and a team of 8 volunteer crew members. Second Captain is Theodore Peele. Volunteer crew/team members are; Joseph Sanderson, Deon Jones, Stasha Sanderson, Mark Knapp, Dorinda Sanderson and Lisa Lang.

Parents please urge your children to STAY OFF the Search and Rescue boat when they are at the dock swimming!! Last year parts were broken and missing from them playing on it, if something gets broken it is every expensive to replace and you will be held responsible if it happens and your child is involved! Not only do we worry about things getting broken but if it is a part that is needed to operate the boat we will not be able to respond if an emergency occurs! Haw'aa

No updates on the search efforts yesterday, crews will be heading out again today. Please counties praying that Franny is found so he can be brought home.

Searchers will meet briefly tomorrow morning at the HCA office at 7:00am before heading out to continue search efforts to find and bring Franny home. We still need all the boats and volunteers we can get so please if you are willing and able to help out contact the HCA office. 285-3666

There is no change in the search efforts today, we do need more eyes out here tomorrow as a bunch of our volunteers have work and will be out of town for the next two or three days, if you are willing and able please volunteer to go out and help search for Franny.

I am sorry I didn't get on here yesterday to keep everyone updated. Currently there is no new updates, we are still in need of volunteers to help search for Francis. We have crews on boat, and on foot walking the beaches and wooded areas. Please contact the HCA office at 907-285-3666 if you would like to volunteer or make a donation of food items and drinks. The office support crew have been working diligently to get food and drinks out to the search parties. Again, we still need people and boats to help in the search efforts. Please keep Francis' family in prayer. We are doing all we can to bring him home to his family❤️🙏🏽❤️
