Hackett Hill Summer Camp

Hackett Hill Summer Camp Hyde Park Recreation's popular summer day camp runs for 7 weeks during the summer, rain or shine. Th Staff receive a mandatory pre-season camp training.

All camps are inspectad and regulated by the Dutchess County Board of Health.

Hello everyone. We have received many questions about what ages are allowed at camp. Camp is for ages 5 (they must have completed kindergarten) to 13. There are NO exceptions to this rule.

Reminder: Tomorrow is PIZZA DAY! $2 a slice and $0.50 for a juice pouch.

It is also MISMATCH day!

Friday is a show day! Join us at 10am at the stage to see the groups perform different dances!

We can’t wait to see everyone Monday for the first day of Hackett Hill 2025! Just a few reminders:

-please be patient at drop off and pick up on Monday! A lot of people are missing paperwork due to an error in our system so it will get congested!
-PLEASE BRING ID TO PICK UP!!!!!
-please send your child with a refillable water bottle and a lunch in a brown paper bag with their name on it (try avoiding nut products if possible)
-have your child wear socks and sneakers
-send your child with a swimsuit and towel, write their name on ALL BELONGINGS
-we cannot apply sunscreen onto your child, please put it on them in the morning and ensure they know how to reapply
-please bring your child’s immunization records on Monday if you have not sent them in already, we need these for your child to attend camp
-please park close enough to other cars so everyone can fit while dropping off and picking up
-groups are based on age, we cannot guarantee any switches will be made

Hello everyone!

We are preparing for another fun filled summer at Hackett Hill Summer Camp.

Camp registration is OPEN and camp will run from June 30th-August 15.

This years themes are:

Week 1 - Party in the USA
Week 2 - Wild Wild West
Week 3 - Disney (show week)
Week 4 - Pirate
Week 5 - Through the decades (show week)
Week 6 - Super heroes
Week 7 - Carnival

The Roosevelt Fire Department came to visit and let the campers see the truck and spray the hose!

Bowie who is a therapy dog came to say hi, she was a big hit with the campers!

Just a friendly reminder:

Please be patient at sign in tomorrow! A lot of people are missing paperwork and we have DOUBLE the amount of campers from last week.

Please remember to bring immunization records and any other paperwork (pick up form, photo release, medical history, code of conduct, behavior plan, ETC) this will help sign in go FASTER.

Sign in starts at 8:50am

Hey my name is Michael! I’ve recently graduated from FDR high school and plan to go to SUNY Albany during the fall. This will be my second year working as a camp counselor for hacket hill. As the older favorite cousin, I can confirm I get along with kids great and had a blast working with them last year. I hope I can help your kids have the most amount of fun possible!
