📅👀 SAVE THE DATE, !

Something colorful, cultural, and VERY fun is headed our way! 🎉🌎

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, BRCPS is getting ready for our Hispanic Heritage Spirit Week, October 13–16! Four days. Four themes. Plenty of opportunities to celebrate culture, community, creativity, and Renaissance spirit. 💃🏽⚽✨

Now, we *could* tell you the themes... But where’s the fun in that? 😏

We’ve left a few clues behind instead. 🔎👀 Take a close look at the calendar and see if you can figure out what we have planned:

✨ 10/13: “FIT CHECK”
⚽ 10/14: “GOOOOOOOOOAL!”
👯 10/15: “ ”
🌟 10/16: “SIGMA AURA”

And yes, grown-ups, some of those clues are very intentionally giving Gen Z/Gen Alpha. 😂 If you’re staring at “SIGMA AURA” wondering whether the BRCPS Communications Team is okay, we promise we are. Ask a scholar. They’ll get you together. 😭😂

Think you’ve cracked the code? 👀 Keep those guesses coming, but don’t get too comfortable. Official Spirit Week themes and details are coming soon!

For now, SAVE THE DATE, start plotting those outfits, and get ready to celebrate! 🎨🎶💃🏽

Participation is always optional, but the Renaissance spirit is highly encouraged. 💙💛

¡La celebración continúa! 🎉

🌎✨ ¡Celebramos la herencia, la cultura y la comunidad!✨🌎

Today marks the beginning of Hispanic Heritage Month, a time to honor the histories, cultures, achievements, and extraordinary contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities throughout the United States and across generations.

At Boston Renaissance, we know that heritage is more than history. It lives in the languages we speak, the music we make, the food we share, the stories passed from one generation to the next, and the traditions that connect families across neighborhoods, countries, and continents. It also lives in our classrooms, where the identities and experiences our scholars bring with them enrich how we learn from and alongside one another. 💙💛

From September 15 through October 15, we proudly recognize the many cultures and communities represented within the broad and beautifully diverse Hispanic and Latino diaspora. We celebrate our scholars, families, staff, alumni, and neighbors whose roots and stories span Latin America, the Caribbean, Spain, and beyond, while recognizing that no single experience, tradition, or identity can represent them all.

Throughout the month, we look forward to celebrating the people, stories, creativity, history, and traditions that continue to shape our Renaissance community and our world.

¡Que comience la celebración! 🎶💃🏽📚🎨

🎒✨ FIRST DAY FEELS, RENAISSANCE STYLE! ✨🎒

We may be a couple of weeks into the school year, but these first-day smiles were simply too good to keep to ourselves! 💙💛

Our Grades 1–6 scholars kicked off another year at Boston Renaissance on August 31, followed by our littlest learners in K1 and K2 on September 8. And whether it was your very first first day or you walked through those doors like a seasoned Renaissance pro, there was plenty of first-day magic to go around. ✨

There were fresh sneakers and crisp uniforms. Backpacks that were almost as big as the scholars wearing them. 😍 Brand-new classrooms, big hugs, nervous smiles, hallway reunions, proud grown-ups, and the very important business of figuring out where you’re sitting at lunch. There were little hands waving goodbye and older scholars reconnecting with friends like no time had passed at all. And, of course, there were plenty of “first day” photos to mark just how much everyone has grown. 📸🥹

And then... we got BUSY. 😂

In just two weeks, our classrooms and hallways have already come alive with teaching, learning, creating, questioning, collaborating, exploring, and building community. New routines are becoming familiar ones. Teachers are getting to know their scholars. Friendships are forming and reconnecting. Ideas are taking shape. And our students are already reminding us why there is so much to be excited about this year.

At Boston Renaissance, we believe the future of education isn't something we simply wait for. We're building it right here, every day, alongside our scholars.

So consider this our slightly-belated-but-still-very-much-worth-it First Day Photo Drop! 📸✨ We’ve been a little busy doing what Renaissance does best. 😉

Here’s to a joyful, ambitious, creative, curious, and unforgettable 2026–2027 school year. We’re just getting started, ! 🚀💙💛

💙💚💛 What a Family Day! 💛💚💙

This past Friday, our BRCPS community came together for an incredible Family Day, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to kick off the school year! 🎉

Our families filled the building with energy, laughter, connection, and joy as they toured the school, visited classrooms, met their teachers, connected with staff, and learned more about the people and resources here to support their children throughout the school year. 🏫✨

And, of course, there was plenty of fun! Families enjoyed music and entertainment, games, an ice cream truck 🍦, a grilled food station 🔥🍔, and opportunities to connect with community organizations and explore valuable resources.

A special THANK YOU to all of our amazing community partners who joined us and poured into our students and families:

🌟 JLB Arts / Kids in the Kitchen
