We want to give a huge shoutout to Cassie for representing the Hydro Fire Department at RISE UP Training 2026!

Cassie spent the day training alongside women firefighters from across the Oklahoma, sharpening critical skills such as ladder operations, VES (Vent, Enter, Search), victim removal, and firefighter survival. Opportunities like this not only build confidence and knowledge but also strengthen the fire service as a whole.

We are proud of her dedication to continuous learning and her commitment to becoming a better firefighter for our department and the community we serve. Thank you for putting in the work, stepping outside your comfort zone, and bringing valuable experience back to Hydro.

A huge thank you to Devin Craig with FAST Rescue Solutions for coming out today and training with us on our new FAST Board. The FAST Board is a firefighter rescue and patient packaging device designed to help remove downed firefighters or victims from tight spaces, stairwells, and other challenging environments quickly and safely.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your knowledge, experience, and techniques with our crew. Training like this helps ensure we’re better prepared to serve our community and look out for one another on the fireground. We’re grateful for the opportunity and look forward to putting this training to work.

Reminder: Water Outage Tomorrow in Hydro

The Town of Hydro will have a scheduled water outage tomorrow due to maintenance work. Please plan ahead and make sure you have adequate water stored for drinking, cooking, and other needs.

Helpful tips:
• Fill bathtubs or containers for non-drinking use
• Store extra drinking water

We appreciate everyone’s patience while this necessary work is completed to keep our water system reliable.

We are extremely proud of our HFD crews and all responding agencies for their quick actions and teamwork that led to ROSC. This is a powerful reminder of why training, preparation, and strong partnerships matter.

Yesterday, Hydro Fire Department responded with Brush Pumper 25 and two personnel to assist near Butler on a large grass fire.

With high winds and low humidity expected today and tomorrow, fire danger remains extremely high across our area. We encourage everyone to avoid any outdoor burning and activities that could spark a fire. It only takes one small spark to cause a fast-moving grass fire under these conditions.

Please stay weather aware and help us keep our community safe.

The Town of Hydro will be shutting off the water APRIL 9th. This will be to replace 6 Fire Hydrants that are in need of repairs. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your patience.
