Nail on the head. Please take a moment to read this editorial that was recently published.

Everything said in this article is true. We are all struggling to find volunteers, and seem to lose more every year than we bring in. We in New Creek are reaching critically low levels of personnel responding to calls and working fundraisers. What happens when our few who are helping, can’t? Who’s coming to help you? Questions that we don’t want to have to ask or answer when you need that help.

And the costs of everything? Insanity. Equipment prices have skyrocketed…and suddenly has an expiration date on it. For an example - if Joe Public goes to his local superstore and buys bandaids, he may pay a couple bucks for the box and can use them as long as he still has them. We on the other hand, will pay twice, sometimes three times as much…and if we don’t use that same item with in a time frame…sorry, gotta throw them out and buy new. And no additional money to keep making those purchases.

We could really dive deep into these issues, but there are so many things to talk about. Most importantly, we need people. We need help. Contact us today to see how you can help your community
