A HUGE thank you to Raccoon Ridge Farmstead and everyone who donated and helped make this possible!

A special thank you to Sarah Cornelius for leading the fundraising effort and making sure fire departments throughout Perry County had access to these important life-saving kits. Your dedication to our community and our four-legged family members means so much! ❤️

These kits will give our firefighters another important tool when responding to emergencies involving our community’s beloved pets. 🐶🐱🚒

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who supported this effort!

Last evening, members participated in vehicle extrication for in-house training.
Vehicle extrication training is a cornerstone of modern fire and rescue operations. It requires precision, technical expertise, and seamless teamwork to safely free entrapped occupants from heavily damaged vehicles.
Thank you to all members who participated last evening and a big thank you for the donated cars for this training!

A big Thank-You to Melvin Weaver for donating over 25 dozen of sweet corn and also to the dozen or so of members from the community who took time, on a rainy afternoon, to prepare the corn for our upcoming fundraisers! 🌽🌽

We’ve been hard at work this week getting the station ready for some exciting upgrades! Thanks to recent grant funding, major remodeling projects are officially underway. Stay tuned for progress updates and final reveals as we transform our space!

Our thanks to PA State Rep. Perry Stambaugh for visiting us during our carnival!

During the annual Ickesburg Volunteer Fire Company Carnival, I met with Fire Company President Gregory Fuller, right, and 4th Assistant Fire Chief and Recording Secretary Bob Diehl to review a display on how much it costs to safely outfit the typical firefighter ($25,495). The carnival featured its always scrumptious food (including the fire company’s famous French fries), great music, fun games, and community camaraderie.
