Dylan Price is an English Language Arts teacher at Alturas Preparatory Academy in Idaho Falls, where he is passionate about helping students discover the power of language, literature, and their own unique voices. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Theatre Performance from Brigham Young University–Idaho and is currently completing a teaching certificate in English.
Before joining Alturas, Dylan gained experience in education as a substitute teacher, working with students across a variety of grade levels and learning environments. His background in theatre has also given him extensive experience in performance, directing, collaboration, and storytelling. He has worked at Playmill Theatre and has directed children’s productions through the Idaho Falls Youth Arts Center, experiences that have strengthened his belief that creativity and learning go hand in hand.
Dylan especially enjoys teaching literature because he believes great stories can help students better understand both the world around them and themselves. In his classroom, he hopes to create an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, exploring ideas, taking creative risks, and developing confidence in their own writing and communication.
Beyond reading, Dylan enjoys singing, acting, playing guitar, and spending time with the people closest to him.
He is excited to join the Alturas community and looks forward to building meaningful relationships with his students while helping them become thoughtful readers, capable writers, and confident communicators.
