200 YARDS OF WILLOWS AND DEBRIS—GONE! 💪☀️

A HUGE THANK YOU to Melaleuca: The Wellness Company and their amazing staff of volunteers who came out yesterday afternoon, braved the heat, and got to work improving the west bank of the river and Freeman Park!

Parks staff and volunteers worked together to remove approximately 200 yards of willows and debris, helping tackle invasive species and making the River Walk safer, more scenic and more accessible for our community and visitors.

This was the 4th Annual Melaleuca: The Wellness Company Volunteer Event, and we’re really starting to see the positive impact this yearly effort is having on the river! Year after year, their hard work is helping keep this beautiful community resource looking its best.

Special thanks to Idaho Falls Sanitation for donating 30-yard dumpsters to help make the cleanup possible!

Thank you, Melaleuca volunteers, for continuing to invest your time and energy into making Idaho Falls a better place for everyone! ❤️

Fall Swim Team and Swim Lesson registration is OPEN! Swimming is a great way for your kiddo to decompress after school, get some energy out, help with mental health and be prepared for the next day! All of our instructors have gone through extensive training, classes are held inside in a heated indoor pool that is monitored by certified pool operators with Red Cross CPR certified lifeguards on hand!
