From Chief Monahan regarding the services for Firefighter Ashley Faubert
On behalf of the Ilion Fire Department, we thank you all for your support, care, and cooperation during this difficult time.
For those planning to attend calling hours today, 4/16/26, they will be held from 2:00–4:00 PM and 5:00–7:00 PM at Enea & Ciaccia Family Funeral Home, 4309 Acme Rd, Ilion, NY 13357. A firefighter service will commence immediately following calling hours.
Please note there will be no shuttle service for calling hours. Parking will be limited due to the expected large turnout. Traffic control personnel will be on-site to assist. We kindly ask for your patience and cooperation.
Overflow parking will be available thanks to Central Paving at 4247 Acme Rd, Frankfort, NY 13340, as well as at the Herkimer County Sewer District, located just west of the funeral home. Please stay off all grass areas. Thank you to both.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, 4/17/26, at 11:30 AM at St. Francis de Sales Church, 219 N. Bellinger St, Herkimer, NY 13350. If you plan to drive to the church, please arrive early as parking in Herkimer will be limited.
Shuttle buses for the funeral will be available from Re*****on Arms (Main Gate), 14 Hoefler Ave, Ilion, NY. Access will be across the street from 55 E. Clark St. Buses will begin arriving at 10:00 AM.
Following the church service, the procession will proceed:
• Bellinger Ave to Mohawk St
• Mohawk St to E. Main St (Village of Mohawk)
• Continuing into Ilion
• Pausing briefly at Central Ave / Route 51 (in front of Central Fire Station)
• Then proceeding south on Route 51 to Spinnerville Gulf Rd
• Concluding at the cemetery
Incoming fire apparatus are to stage on the north side of E. Clark St, beginning at Stewart’s and extending east toward Mohawk. Personnel will be on location to assist with apparatus placement.
All uniformed personnel are requested to be prepared to render honors as the funeral procession passes, observing proper decorum and salute in tribute to our fallen sister.
