The 2026 convention concluded Sunday morning with the swearing in of the new board of directors elected on Saturday. There were also discussions about a the possibility of a multi-year dues structure, junior board of directors, legislative committee flow chart, and an open round table question & answer segment.

Lifetime Achievement Award - Dan Tone

President’s Award - New York Crossbow Coalition

Swiss Army Knife Award - Diane Steel

In addition, Assemblyman Joe Angelino presented the council with a dual resolution from the NYS Senate and Assembly.

And lastly, certainly not least, President Krawczyk presented President emeritus, an engraved compass for his leadership during the past two years.

This afternoon at the council convention, 9 resolutions were presented and passed. We also held our annual elections and elected a new set of officers. The other major piece of business was an in depth presentation on an initiative to advance a constitutional amendment for the Right to Hunt, Fish, Trap and Harvest Wildlife.
