Imperial Beach Library San Diego County Library at Imperial Beach In 2012, The San Diego County Library was named "Library of the Year" by Library Journal magazine and Gale.

The library features a catalog of books, DVDs, CDs eBooks, downloadable audiobooks and museum passes. Library materials may also be requested from over 60 other library institutions throughout California. We have public computers as well as laptops for our internet users. Free WI-FI available. The In-N-Out Cover to Cover Program is happening at the Imperial Beach library!

Now through Nov. 14, children 4 to 12 years old may sign up and start earning their way to free hamburgers, cheeseburgers, and grilled cheese sandwiches. All it takes is reading 5 books or 300 minutes.

We're planting the seeds of early literacy tomorrow, Thursday, September 24 at 10:30 a.m. at our collaborative storytime adventure - Nature Tots! This month's theme is seeds and nuts, and we will feature a story followed by a craft or activity with Imperial Beach Parks, Rec, and Community Services and U.S. Fish and Wildlife. For ages 2-5, but children of all ages are welcome. In partnership with US Fish and Wildlife & Imperial Beach Parks, Rec, and Community Services. Monthly, every fourth Thursday.

Happy Labor Day! After enjoying Monday's holiday, you should head to the Imperial Beach Library to escape the heat and relax with a good book, newspaper, or program.
After the Monday holiday, there is still lots to celebrate and reflect on this month. September is National Happy Cat Month and September 11 is National Patriot Day.
