Students received hands-on experiences that helped drive home how distractions and impairments affect both physical and mental abilities and the consequences drivers can face when they make poor decisions.

🏠 Heading Out of Town This Summer? Let the Imperial Police Department Keep an eye on your Home

With summer vacation season just around the corner, the Imperial Police Department wants to make sure your home stays safe while you're away.
Through the City of Imperial App, you can now request a Residential Security Check quickly and easily before you hit the road.
🔒 What is a Residential Security Check? When you're away from home, a uniformed Imperial Police officer will conduct at least one inspection of your property every 24 hours.
After each visit, the officer will complete an operations report noting any abnormalities or concerns. This service is available for up to two weeks — perfect for summer vacations and extended trips!
📋 What you'll need to provide when requesting:
✅ Your name and contact information
✅ The address of the property to be checked
✅ The dates you will be away
✅ Names of any individuals who have access to your property
✅ Names of anyone who has keys to your home

Drug activity in our community affects everyone — our families, our neighborhoods, and our kids.
If you witness drug use, suspected dealing, or any related activity, we want to hear from you.
Through the City of Imperial App, you can submit a tip:
👤 Completely anonymously — no name required
📸 With photos if it is safe to take them
📍 With your GPS coordinates so we know the exact location
🕐 With the time and date of what you observed
No detail is too small. Descriptions of individuals, vehicles, or patterns of behavior all help our officers investigate effectively.

Is there a street in our community where drivers constantly speed?
Are stop signs being ignored?
Street racing keeping you up at night?
You can now report traffic complaints directly to the Imperial Police Department through the City of Imperial App!
When submitting a traffic complaint, please include:
📍 The specific street or intersection
🕐 The time of day it most frequently occurs
🚘 Vehicle descriptions if available
📸 Photos or video if it is safe to capture
Your reports help us identify problem areas and increase patrols where they're needed most.

Admin line 308.882.4847 is working and 911 calls are being answered by Chase County Dispatch.

We have stopped forwarding our landline at this time.

📢 IMPORTANT NOTICE – Chase County Dispatch Administrative line is currently down.

Work is actively being done to restore service as quickly as possible.
In the meantime, please use the Imperial Police Department's landline to reach Dispatch:
📞 308.882.4400Our landline has been forwarded to the Chase County Dispatch work cell, so your call will still be answered.
🚨 For emergencies requiring 911: Calls are currently being answered by a neighboring county and will be forwarded directly to Chase County Dispatch's work cell until their phone system is fully restored.
We will update the public here as soon as the landline is back up and running.

Trust your instincts. If something doesn't feel right in your neighborhood, it's worth reporting.
Examples of suspicious activity to report:
🔹 Someone casing homes, vehicles, or businesses
🔹 Unfamiliar individuals loitering near schools or parks
🔹 Someone peering into cars or testing door handles
🔹 Unusual foot traffic at odd hours
🔹 Vehicles parked in unusual locations for extended periods
Through the City of Imperial App, you can submit a tip with photos, your GPS coordinates, and a detailed description — even anonymously.
The more detail you include, the better our officers can respond.

When in doubt, report it. You could be preventing the next crime.

Did you know you can submit a tip to the Imperial Police Department completely anonymously through the City of Imperial App?
No name. No phone number. Just your tip — and that's enough to make a difference.
If you'd like a follow-up from our department, simply include your contact information and indicate that you'd like to be contacted in the "Tip for Authorities" section.
It's completely your choice.

The Imperial Police Department is excited to help better explain the functionality of the "Submit a Tip" feature on the City of Imperial App! This tool makes it easier than ever for our community to help keep Imperial safe. Here's what you can do:
✅ Submit a tip completely anonymously — no name required, You can also optionally include any contact information for a follow up.
✅ Attach photos directly from your phone
✅ Share your GPS coordinates with the tip
✅ Include the date and time of the incident
✅ Request a follow-up from our department by including your contact info in the "Tip for Authorities" section
Whether it's vandalism, suspicious activity, traffic complaints, threats, or anything in between — your tips matter. The more detail you provide, the better we can respond. As always in case of an emergency dial 911.
