Good afternoon,

As of 3:00 p.m. this afternoon, the forecast for Tuesday evening remains uncertain. What is certain, however, is that Wednesday evening is currently forecasted to provide excellent weather conditions for an outdoor ceremony.

Accordingly, in an effort to provide families with as much advance notice as possible and to ensure a safe, enjoyable, and memorable experience for our graduates and their guests, we have made the decision to move the Windsor C-1 Class of 2026 Commencement Exercises to Wednesday, May 20, at 7:00 p.m. on the football field.

As a reminder:

The football stadium will open for spectators at 6:00 p.m.

Shuttle service will be available from the parking lots of each school building, with the exception of Freer Elementary.

To help ensure that all guests are able to fully enjoy the ceremony, signs, posters, noisemakers, and outside food or beverages will not be permitted inside the football stadium.

We appreciate your understanding, flexibility, and continued support as we work to provide the best possible experience for the Windsor High School Class of 2026 and their families.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jason King
Superintendent

Good afternoon,

The Windsor C-1 Class of 2026 graduation ceremony is currently scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, at 7:00 p.m on the football field. At this time, the forecast for Tuesday includes the potential for thunderstorms throughout the day and evening.

We are monitoring the weather forecast closely and will continue to do so throughout the weekend. In order to provide families with as much notice as possible, a final decision regarding Tuesday's ceremony will be made no later than 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 17. If the ceremony is rescheduled, we will communicate that Sunday evening.

If weather conditions require us to postpone graduation, the ceremony will be rescheduled for Wednesday, May 20, at 7:00 p.m. on the football field.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to provide a safe and memorable experience for our graduates and their families.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jason King
Superintendent

Windsor C-1 Community,

Due to the potential for severe weather this afternoon, all afternoon and evening activities are canceled for today. This includes all practices, events, and facility use. Additionally, there will be no PM Latchkey program today, and the Windsor High School Evening of Excellence event scheduled for tonight has been canceled.

These decisions are made out of an abundance of caution to ensure the safety of our students, staff, and families. We will continue to monitor conditions and provide updates as needed.

Thank you for your understanding.

Dr. Jason King
Superintendent

Windsor C-1 Community:

I want to provide clarification regarding information that may have been shared through 911 dispatch a bit ago. The information communicated by dispatch may have indicated a stabbing or gunshot; however, that information was inaccurate. No such incident occurred.

The situation involved a student who was accidentally injured while working on a project in art class. Emergency personnel did respond to the middle school, but at no point were students or staff in danger.

The matter was handled quickly and appropriately by our staff and first responders. There is no ongoing threat, and the safety and well-being of our students remains our top priority.

If you have any questions, please contact the middle school office directly.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jason King
