🐾 Dog Registrations for 2026 Are Now Due 🐾

Reminder to all Imperial residents: Annual dog registrations were due May 1st, 2026.
✔️ Cost: $6 per dog, per year✔️ Required: Proof of a current rabies vaccination at the time of registration
Per Imperial City Ordinance Section 3-205, all dogs over the age of three months must be licensed annually. Licenses are issued by the City Clerk and are valid through April 30 of the following year.
📌 Important Notes:

A current rabies certificate is required before a license can be issued

License tags must be attached to your dog’s collar or harness

Tags are unique each year and must be kept current

If you have not yet registered your dog, please contact or visit the City Office as soon as possible.

🎗The Imperial Police Department thanks our Chase County Sheriff's Office dispatchers for their commitment and service! 🎗
These dedicated professionals handle all incoming emergency and non-emergency calls, including medical, fire, and police emergencies, dispatch the appropriate resources, continually monitor the safety of the crews on scene, book and manage the incarcerated individuals, respond to any nationwide requests for critical criminal information (warrants, stolen vehicle confirmations), and ensure the Chase County Jail meets and exceeds Nebraska Jail Standards.
We are thankful for their professionalism and hard work!

The Imperial Transfer Station has officially transitioned to summer hours as of April 1st. Please note the updated Saturday schedule to help you plan your weekend clean-ups!
Summer Schedule (April 1 – Nov. 30):

Sun & Mon: Closed

Tue – Fri: 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM AND 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Don't forget, Golf Carts and UTVs operated in city limits must be registered annually on April 1 with the City of Imperial. Golf Carts and UTVs are required to have an initial inspection and inspections every five years. To help expedite the process this year, the Imperial Nebraska Police Department will be conducting inspections at the City Office tomorrow, or may be made by appointment by calling (308) 882-4400.
