For 4-H members showing livestock, there will be a YQCA training tomorrow (Wednesday) from 10 a.m. to noon at the Extension Office.

Everyone who wants to show Beef, Goats, Sheep and Swine must have completed YQCA training, either in-person or online at yqcaprogram.org.

Please take the pretest at yqcaprogram.org before taking the in-person class. More information is available in the newsletter. https://app.smore.com/n/fzjgh

There are two YQCA trainings coming up next week, May 27 in Imperial and May 28 at Grant. Be sure to visit yqcaprogram.org to complete your pre-test.

There will be a YQCA in-person training Friday at the Chase County Fairgrounds.
**NEW 2026**Before in-person trainings, youth must register/sign in online at YQCA - Youth for the Quality Care of Animals and take the pre-test before attending in-person classes**

The Chase County Extension Office will be hosting a Sheep and Goat Camp by Katie Robertson Tuesday, June 9 from 9 a.m. to Noon on the Chase County Fairgrounds in Imperial, Nebraska.

The camp is open to 4-H and FFA members at a cost of $50 per member. Youth may bring their own animal.

Calling all youth interested in animals and agriculture! Join us for Animal Science Discover Day on June 3, 2026, at the NCTA campus in Curtis, Nebraska. Participants will explore hands-on activities, learn about animal science opportunities, and experience college life at NCTA. Be sure to register by May 29 at go.unl.edu/asdiscoverday2026. We hope to see you there for a fun and educational day!

Calling all 4-H Youth!!
Submit a design for the 2026 Chase County 4-H/FFA t-shirt!

To be included in the contest, successful entries will:

Be emailed/dropped off to the Extension Office by Monday, May 18. Emailed entries can be sent to [email protected].
Incorporate 4-H and FFA logos. Designs may be slightly altered to meet brand guidelines.
Be inclusive of multiple project areas
Entries may be sketched on 8.5 X 11 paper or submitted using Canva
The Chase County 4-H Council will select the winning entry

All submissions will be displayed at the fair

The Chase County 4-H Council will choose t-shirt color, design will be printed in white.
