The Independence Volunteer Fire Department is now accepting applications for FULL-TIME and PART-TIME employees!

Whether you’re an experienced firefighter looking for extra money or looking to start a rewarding career in the fire service, we want to hear from you. Certified and non-certified firefighters are welcome to apply.

Preferred Certifications:
✅ Hazmat Awareness
✅ Hazmat Operations
✅ Firefighter I
✅ EMR or EMT (Not Required)

No experience? No problem! We are looking for dedicated individuals with a strong work ethic and a desire to serve their community.

What an incredible experience for our Art Club! 🎨🚒

Mrs. Taylor’s Art Club was honored to complete this mural for the Independence Fire Department, and we could not be more proud of the hard work, creativity, and dedication our students poured into this project!

A huge thank you to the amazing fire crew for welcoming us and allowing our students to create something meaningful for the community. We are also incredibly thankful to have the Mayor of Independence join us in celebrating the completion of the mural alongside our talented student artists and local heroes.

This project was such a special reminder of what can happen when community, creativity, and service come together. We are so proud of our students for using their talents to make a lasting impact! ❤️🖌️
