Today is Lindsey's third CAPAversary! As our Director of Prevention Education, Lindsey leads our Prevention Education team (which includes Lily, whose second CAPAversary was Wednesday). She's helping members of our community build the tools they need for their families to thrive.

Lindsey's passion for kids, families, equity, and justice shows in everything she does (and her outfits are always on point!). She shared that she's "especially proud of how willing we are to grow, adapt, and find new ways to meet the needs of our community. It’s so meaningful to see the impact of our work not just through direct services, but also through prevention, education, and partnerships."

Lindsey, thank you for three years of building up our prevention programs and for helping more families connect to the work we do. We are proud to have you on the CAPACares team!

It's been two years since Lily joined our Prevention Education Team, and our community has been better for it ever since. Lily shows up for kids and families all over our community, including facilitating Parenting Skills Trainings, Social-Emotional Learning, and community events.

Some of her favorite memories come from resource events, watching kids and adults alike light up over a simple craft or activity. As Lily puts it, there's youth in all of us, and something small can bring people together.

Her coworkers agree: Lily is dependable, supportive, and has a way of helping projects and goals move forward. Watching her connect with the families and partners she's worked with is one of the best parts of having her on our team.

Thank you, Lily, for two years of showing up, building trust, and reminding all of us that small moments of care can make a big difference. Here's to many more!

We had another great session with Basic Life Support Training Academy today! They came out last week to work with our interns, and today staff participated in CPR/AED and Narcan trainings. We feel so much better prepared, and really appreciated all of the hands-on practice and real-world examples.

Kristina Jones joined CAPACares in our Home Visiting team in 2011 and became a clinical intern in 2013. This month, she celebrates 15 years with CAPACares and is now our President and CEO. During her internship, Kristina had the rare opportunity to observe her supervisor working with clients in real time, and that experience confirmed something she already felt: she wanted to stay in this field and fight to make therapy more accessible for everyone. The belief she carried out of that intern office, that people are the experts in their own lives and that growth happens on their own terms, still guides her today. We couldn’t be more proud to have her lead our team.

Imani Baxter came to CAPACares as an intern and left as a therapist, a friend, and a believer in her own abilities. Now working full-time at Country Crossroads Counseling alongside her best friend Allison, who she met right here during her internship, Imani is already making a difference in clients' lives. She credits her supervisor Nicole with helping her push through imposter syndrome and find confidence in her gift. We love stories like this one! Congratulations, Imani, we cannot wait to see where this journey takes you.
