This year marks the 25th anniversary and we’re getting closer to the big event. Back Alley Bowl and Grill has once again graciously offered to cook for the event and Emma Haisten has hydration drinks ready to go. If you haven’t signed up for this great cause please do. Attention Inyo County High School students! The Inyo County Elections office is now accepting applications for the Student Poll Worker Program for qualified students to serve as precinct workers on Election Day. By signing up, students will have a chance to assist our public with one of their basic rights as a citizen – the right to vote!

Qualifications
• Be 16 years of age at the time of the election.
• Have a GPA of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• Submit a completed student poll worker application.
• Attend one of the two mandatory trainings:
---Independence- Oct 15th, 2026
---Bishop- Oct 16th, 2026

🗳️ Official Election Results Certified!
Yesterday, June 25th, our team officially certified the local election results, completing the final step of the post-election canvass. The County Board of Supervisors will officially accept the results at their meeting on 6/30/26 and declare those under their jurisdiction elected, or those selected to go to a run-off in November. The full Certification and a Summary can be found on our Inyo Elections website: https://elections.inyocounty.us/results/

Why the wait? California election law requires Elections Officials to provide a mandatory 22-day window following Election Day to provide voters whose mail-in ballots had missing or mismatched signatures have more time to resolve those issues so their votes can legally count. Because we are legally required to wait until this window closes, June 25th was our first opportunity to certify the final tally.

Thank you to our dedicated elections team for their meticulous work, and to you, our community, for your participation and patience as we ensured every single eligible vote was securely and legally counted!
