The Montgomery County Clerk's Office is consolidating polling locations, reducing the number of voting sites from 17 to 14 ahead of the Aug. 4th Primary Election.
The County Clerk cited rising operational costs, a shortage of poll workers, voter difficulties in locating some polling sites, and low turnout at certain locations as reasons for the change.
Beginning Tuesday, May 26th, the County Clerk’s Office will mail “Notice of Disposition” cards to all registered voters with their assigned voting districts as applicable including: U.S. Representative, Kansas Senate, Kansas Representative, Judicial District, County Commission, City, Community College, School District, Drainage District; as well as the Certificate of Registration Issue date, Registrant ID, Township and Precinct, and the Voter’s name and address.
IMPORTANT: If you do not receive a Notice of Disposition card in the mail, please contact the Montgomery County Clerk’s Office, as there may be inaccurate information in the voter registration system. If any information printed on the card is incorrect, voters are also encouraged to contact the office immediately at 620-330-1200.
