๐Ÿ† Three Years of Perfect Scores for the Montgomery County Appraiserโ€™s Office!

For the third consecutive year, County Appraiser Melody Kikkert and her staff have earned a perfect score on the Property Valuation Divisionโ€™s Annual Compliance Review.

Each year, the Kansas Property Valuation Division conducts a comprehensive review of the ad valorem property tax appraisal process in every county. The review evaluates the accuracy and uniformity of property appraisals and ensures county appraisal offices are following Kansas laws, regulations, mass appraisal procedures, and required accuracy standards.

For the 2026 statistical and procedural compliance review, counties must earn a score of 75 points or greater to be considered in substantial compliance.

Montgomery County didnโ€™t just meet that standard โ€” our Appraiserโ€™s Office earned a perfect score for the third year in a row!

This accomplishment reflects the knowledge, consistency, and attention to detail that Melody and her staff bring to their work each day. Maintaining this level of compliance year after year is an achievement worth celebrating.

๐Ÿ‘ Please join us in congratulating Melody and the entire Montgomery County Appraiserโ€™s Office on another outstanding review!

Due to a damaged fiber cable, the Montgomery County Courthouse is currently experiencing an interruption to telephone and internet services.

A company with the specialized equipment and expertise needed to repair the damaged fiber has been contacted, and we are awaiting repairs. At this time, offices located within the Courthouse have limited ability to provide services to citizens due to the internet outage.

The issue is expected to be resolved by the end of the day today. This outage does not affect offices in the Judicial Center.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding while this issue is being resolved.
