Our Community Story Stitched Together is a community quilt project celebrating America's 250th anniversary by honoring the stories, memories, and traditions that make Independence and Monmouth feel like home. Community members created individual quilt blocks inspired by the people, places, and experiences they cherish, with the finished quilts now displayed across six civic locations. Visitors are encouraged to explore each site to experience the full collection and discover the stories that have been stitched together by the community.

We have a lot of folks to thank - from our sponsors to volunteers; to our spectators and participants. But in the meantime, please enjoy this batch of parade photos. This year, we were honored to have two photographers capturing the day. Our first is David Rice. David is a recent graduate from Central High School who is heading off to school in the fall. But first, he shared his talents with us getting great shots from the Grand Parade. Thank you, David, for such excellent work. We will have all of his photos uploaded soon to a photo album on our page.
