Day #2 of SantaCaliGon starts at 10AM. Here’s a look at some of the things happening today and ways you can stay cool.

Located at 110 S. Liberty Street, come by and get a taste of pioneer life in Independence. Take a rest and cool off under a misting fan.

Gentlemen, enter our Beard & Mustache contests Saturday, Sept 5 at 2:30PM in Main Street 1849.

🤩 Pack Your Wagon Scavenger Hunt
Pick up a the Pack Your Wagon Scavenger Hunt form in Main Street 1849 and visit square merchants for items pioneers would have packed in their wagons.

🎥 Cool off and catch a Hollywood flick for only $6 at the Pharaoh. Movies show Saturday & Sunday at 2PM.

🛍️🍴🍺 Take a break and step inside the great Square businesses where you can shop, eat, and enjoy.

Start with something to eat at the Chamber’s Food Truck Friday. Check out Coyote vs Acme opening Friday at the Pharaoh. Then do some shopping and hit BIG discounts up to 75% off at Be Here Now, Gilbert Whitney & Wild About Harry. End the day at the Whiskey Without Bias event or at An Evening of History and Paranormal at 1859 Jail Museum. 🥃🛻🛍️

Saturday, August 29
Check out the Farmers Market from 8am - 1pm. Shop local at Mixed Wildflower, Planet Queen and Pickens Sweet Treats. Join the Knitting Club at Cafe Verona. Enjoy an evening outdoors with live music at Courthouse Exchange. 🎸🍔🍺

Sunday, August 30
Start the morning with yoga at 9:30am at Studio on Main. Your first yoga class is FREE! Sundays are FREE pool day at Diamond Bowl from Noon - 6pm. And it’s half priced bottles of wine at Cafe Verona.

Saturday, August 22
Crafting Party
10:30am - 2:30pm
The first Crafting Party event went so well, Game Cafe is making it a regular event. Join them every Saturday for a little get together with fellow crafters. Feel free to bring your own project, or pick up a Wooble or some yarn and a hook from the shop. Come and go as you please from 10:30am-2:30pm.

Did you know Missouri’s largest wine festival featuring Missouri Wines happens in Independence? Eastern Independence Rotary hosts the 14th Annual Independence Uncorked Wine Festival at the Bingham-Waggoner Estate. Make a day of it by starting and ending your day on the Historic Independence Square.

The festival is a fundraiser with this year’s proceeds benefiting Answer the Call. So, check it out and make plans to spend Saturday, September 12 in Historic Independence.
