Independence High School Key Club to Host Thanksgiving Banquet November 21

INDEPENDENCE, OHIO – The Independence High School Key Club invites the community to celebrate the spirit of Thanksgiving at its Thanksgiving Banquet on Saturday, November 21, 2026, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Independence High School Cafeteria, located at 6001 Archwood Road in Independence.

The festive gathering promises an afternoon of delicious food, friendship, and fun while bringing community members together to celebrate the Thanksgiving season.

Guests will enjoy a catered Thanksgiving-themed meal, engaging activities, and an opportunity to participate in a variety of raffle baskets featuring exciting prizes.

Tickets are $20 per person, payable in cash at the door, and include a complete meal.

Reservations are required by November 13. Guests can RSVP by scanning the QR code on the event flyer or calling (216) 642-5860, extensions 1239 or 1227.

The Independence High School Key Club, sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Independence, is a student-led service organization dedicated to developing leadership skills, encouraging community involvement, and making a positive difference through volunteerism.

The Thanksgiving Banquet offers a wonderful opportunity for residents, families, and friends to come together, enjoy a festive afternoon, and support the efforts of local students.

Concerned about someone going door to door? Call us while they are still in the area: 216-524-1234.

Independence’s ordinance generally requires door-to-door solicitors to obtain a city license and display their city-issued identification. Permitted solicitation is limited to 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and is prohibited at homes with an obvious “No Solicitation” sign.

If you believe someone is violating these rules or their behavior seems suspicious, please call police dispatch at 216-524-1234 when it is happening. Provide the location, a description of the person, and any vehicle information you can safely observe.

We want to help, and timely information gives our officers the best opportunity to locate the person and investigate your concern. Posting on social media or contacting city officials after someone has left can delay our response. Please call dispatch first.

Free “No Soliciting” signs are available to Independence residents at the Civic Center.
