Let's all send that empty suit, do nothing Morgan Griffith to the next stage of his life as an ex-Congressman.

On August 21, President Trump announced plans to cut tariffs on beef imports and said foreign producers would sell for 25% less than the market rate American cattle ranchers receive.

The backlash from cattle country was swift — and bipartisan.

At least 12 Republican members of Congress have pushed back on the proposal. Montana Republican Sen. Tim Sheehy, a Trump ally, warned it would make it harder for American ranchers to rebuild their herds and bring prices down. The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association also criticized the plan, saying flooding the market with subsidized, below-market foreign beef is not the answer.

But Morgan Griffith? Silence.

That matters in Virginia’s 9th District. Our district has more than $346 million in cattle and calf sales, and 97% of its farms are family-owned.

And this isn't the first time. When Trump announced plans to import cheaper beef from Argentina in 2025, Griffith did not join fellow Republicans who sent a letter pushing back.

Other Republicans are willing to stand up to their own party when their cattle producers are on the line. Why isn't Morgan Griffith?

At a time when Southwest Virginia’s farmers are already struggling, they deserve a congressman willing to speak up for them, not stay silent.

There are (200) Warner plastic slipover yard signs, (5) 4X4 Powers signs, (25) standard Powers yard signs, (200) Warner/Powers flyers, four sheets of Powers stickers and a couple dozen Powers buttons.

Stop by the office to pick up whatever materials you would like to have.

Joint Warner/Powers signs should be available by week's end. Lets get going on the campaign trail.
