When emergencies happen in areas without hydrants, getting water to the scene fast and efficiently is critical. Last week, our crews were out conducting hands-on training with our Water Tender.
Firefighters practiced drafting, high-volume water shuttles, and rapid deployment of portable dump tanks. Exercises like these keep our driving, pumping, and water supply skills sharp so we are ready to respond to any incident across our district.
Great work by all crews involved for putting in the time and effort to keep our community safe! 👨‍🚒👩‍🚒

🚒 A Very Cool Visit at Station 3! 🇩🇪
Our friends from The Autobarn Volkswagen of Countryside swung by Station 3 today with a truly unique piece of fire service history, a classic vintage German fire van (Freiwillige Feuerwehr Hankensbüttel / Ortsfeuerwehr Emmen)!
They brought it out to get some photo ops alongside Ladder 153 before putting this incredible piece up for auction. Seeing the massive scale and modern design of Ladder 153 parked right next to this compact European classic was awesome. What a stark contrast in firefighting history and engineering! Station 2 had a blast visiting the awesome students at Pleasantdale School! 🚒✨
Our crew brought out the engine to give the kids an up-close look at the gear, climb inside the cab, and learn a few key fire safety tips. Everyone had a ton of fun! 🚒🚒

The Pleasantview Fire Protection District is proud to partner with the Village of Hodgkins and the Greater Chicago Food Depository to host a community food pantry tomorrow!

🚒 What a Great Night!
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate National Night Out with us in Countryside and Indian Head Park! We had an incredible time meeting so many wonderful residents, showing off the fire engines, and spending quality time with our community.
A big thank you to the local police departments, community leaders, and organizers who put together such great events. Events like these remind us how fortunate we are to serve such a supportive and strong community.
