Collecting Flip Flops and Supplies for wounded troops in Kandahar hospital and support for those caring for them. We are collecting Flip Flops for wounded heroes at the hospital in Kandahar. My friend Danielle (we were corpsmen together in the early 90s) cares for them. When I told her I wanted to adopt her and her crew... she let me know that the wounded troops come in with boots cut off and no s
hoes. Of everything she could have asked for --- she wanted prayers and FLIP FLOPS for the wounded. Well, we're all on it and there are shipments coming from all over the United States! I asked her for a list of what the patients and staff need! In the mean time, FLIP FLOPS for HEROS and anything you already know we can ship. Other Military support groups are working with us - Thanks Shelly Vail - you are amazing! God Bless everyone! She said they get some wounded warrior bags, but unfortunately, they are running low. The important supplies that they need from them are the FLIP FLOPS, Tshirts, Shorts, toiletries, shave kits, nail kits, tshirts and shorts. She said they could also use polish remover wipes (pedis are the ONLY treat the females have) Keurig coffe and powdered creamer/sweetener. I work with great Veterans, Families and Americans here stateside, it's just so easy to not be conscious that there is a WAR going on that our kids, parents, spouses, friends and neighbors are fighting in... so we can have the Freedom to play on Facebook!!! :) Let's show them we care even when it's not a December Holiday or a Patriotic event!!!
