💚✨ Thank You, Ms. Shanda Lauri! ✨💚

Today, we celebrate an incredible leader and a cherished member of the Poplin family, Ms. Shanda Lauri, as she begins an exciting new chapter as the principal of Porter Ridge Elementary. 🌟🎉

While we are sad to see her leave Poplin, we are so grateful for the impact she has made on our students, staff, and families. Through her leadership, dedication, and unwavering belief in our school community, she has helped make Poplin a place where students thrive, staff feel supported, and families feel welcomed. 💚💛

Ms. Lauri's kindness, encouragement, and commitment to excellence have left a lasting mark on our school, and her influence will be felt for years to come. She has been more than a principal—she has been a mentor, cheerleader, and advocate for everyone who walks through our doors. ✨

Thank you, Ms. Lauri, for everything you have done for Poplin. We will miss you dearly, but we are excited for this next opportunity and know that Porter Ridge Elementary is gaining an exceptional leader.

🎓💚 5th Grade Clap Out! 💚🎓

Today we lined the halls to celebrate our amazing 5th graders during their annual Clap Out! 👏✨

As they walked through Poplin one last time as elementary students, they were cheered on by classmates, teachers, and staff who are so proud of all they have accomplished. 💛📚

While it’s hard to say goodbye, we are excited to watch these Patriots begin their next adventure in middle school. We know they will continue to lead, learn, and shine wherever they go! 🌟

Last week we celebrated an incredible accomplishment as students received certificates recognizing their successful completion of the ESL Program! 👏📚

Achieving this milestone is a testament to their hard work, perseverance, and dedication to learning and growing every day. We are so proud of all they have accomplished and can't wait to see what they achieve next! 💚💛

A special thank you to Mrs. Arocha Silva for her unwavering dedication, encouragement, and support of our Multilingual Learners. Your passion and commitment help make these successes possible, and we are so grateful for all that you do! ❤️✨

💚💙❤️🖤 Kindergarten House Sorting Day! 🖤❤️💙💚

What an exciting day at Poplin as our incoming kindergarteners officially discovered whether they will be part of Altruismo, Rêveur, Amistad, or Isibindi! 🌟👏

Our current 1st graders and student house leaders helped make the celebration extra special by welcoming and cheering on our newest Patriots as they joined their houses for the very first time. 💛✨ The excitement, school spirit, and sense of community were truly amazing to see!

When these kindergarteners return as 1st graders in August, they will receive their official house t-shirts and begin inspiring the next group of students with house spirit, leadership, and community. 💚🏠

🏈📝 Sack the Test! 📝🏈

Today our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders had an awesome time at the Carolina Panthers “Sack the Test” Assembly! 🌟 Students received encouragement, motivation, and helpful testing tips as they prepare for their upcoming EOGs. 💚💛

A huge thank you to Sir Purr and the Carolina Panthers for bringing the energy and helping our students feel confident and ready to tackle the test! 🐾👏
