The Indiana County Sheriff's Office is looking to hire one full time Deputy Sheriff.

This is a law enforcement position at the county level. The Deputy performs routine duties at the Indiana County Sheriff’s Office, including arrests, Civil Services, Criminal and Domestic warrants, security checks of County Parks, Properties and trails. transportation of inmates, court room security, courthouse security, Magistrate office security, Domestic Relation Security, and Children and Youth Service Security.

Starting pay: $24.06 per hour

Schedule:

8-hour shifts/40 hours a week
Monday through Friday, scheduled as needed.
Day Shift, No weekends, No Holidays.

Requirements:

Driver's License, Municipal Police (Act 120) or Sheriff's Certification (Act 2).

Today, June 2nd, a group of our Sheriffs (& Pennsylvania Sheriffs Association )from across the Commonwealth gathered at the PA Capitol building in Harrisburg to meet with the legislators and strike up the conversation of providing clarity for Sheriffs! We could not be happier to stand beside these great men and women as they work toward better serving their communities one step at a time!

If you receive any phone calls regarding jury duty, please contact your county Court Administration directly!

On March 31st, IHS Key Club students John Cross and Justin John joined Sheriff Fyock in spreading Easter cheer by assisting the Easter Bunny in his annual visit to patients and staff at IRMC

In order to commemorate the occasion and thank these students for their efforts, Sheriff Fyock recently presented Key Club with a plaque celebrating the 19th anniversary of this effort to bring positivity and joy to our local community

Today, we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten.

As we spend time with family and friends this Memorial Day, we pause to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy because of those who gave everything to protect them.

From all of us at the Indiana County Sheriff’s Office, we extend our deepest gratitude to our fallen heroes and their families. We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

In 1962, President John F. Kennedy proclaimed May 15 as National Peace Officers Memorial Day. National Police Week is a week long recognition to pay respect to those law enforcement officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty for the safety and protection of others. In 2025, 111 officers nationwide lost their lives in the line of duty. We remember those who never made it home.

Please join us this Friday , May 15, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Indiana County Courthouse for this years Indiana County Peace Officers Memorial Service.

You are cordially invited to the Indiana County Peace Officer Memorial Service hosted by the Indiana County Sheriff’s Office.

The memorial service will be on Friday, May 15th, 2026, 1:00 P.M. at the Indiana County Courthouse 825 Philadelphia Street Indiana PA 15701.

The service will take place in front of the courthouse and will Honor and Remember those law enforcement officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice. (If there is inclement weather, the memorial service will take place in Courtroom Number 1 inside the Indiana County Courthouse). The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 P.M.

Sheriff Fyock got the chance to participate in celebrating Ruth’s 102 years of life. Congratulations on this awesome milestone!

The Fountains at Indiana resident Ruth Hurley celebrated her 102nd birthday with a "bucket list" motorcycle ride Wednesday around the facility.
