Take advantage of this weekend’s mild weather to vote early for the November 7 municipal election. Eight Satellite Sites are open until 6:00 p.m. tonight, and from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
Voters who have a valid ID and are registered in Marion County can use any of the satellite sites, as well as the Marion County Clerk's Office in the City-County Building. It's open until 6:00 p.m. tonight and 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. this weekend. ***The clerk’s office is the only early-voting location open on Monday, November 6 from 8:00 a.m. to noon.***

🚨 Voting at the City-County Building will be impacted on Saturday, October 28 due to the Beyond Monumental events downtown. If you are downtown participating in the events, walk over and cast your ballot. If you want to avoid the road closures, you have eight additional locations to choose from.

🚨🚨 Time is running out to apply for a mail ballot this election. The Election Board must have your application, in our possession, on October 26, 2023.
Voters can quickly apply by visiting IndianaVoters.IN.gov and applying for an absentee-by-mail ballot before 11:59 p.m.
Staff will also be available at the City-County Building downtown to accept applications until 5pm on Thursday. The Election Service Center, located at 3737 E. Washington Street, will be open until 8pm on October 26, 2023 if you need to hand-deliver an application.
If you miss the deadline to apply for an absentee-by-mail ballot you may still vote early, in person, at the City-County Building or at a satellite site opening this Saturday. Visit Vote.Indy.gov to find a location that is convenient for you.

It was a busy weekend training hundreds of Clerks for Election Day. If you are working on November 7 and have yet to schedule your training class, call the office to schedule for next weekend. That will be your last opportunity to attend a training.

Vera King is the Queen of our Election Service Center. She’s been working behinds the scenes to make our elections work for 25 years.
MCEB honored two of its most valuable seasonal workers this morning, Vera King and Arlene Pepper, who are truly Champions of Democracy.
Ms. Vera has assembled more poll kits than anyone we know, among her many other duties. She also finds time to run an Early Voting satellite site.
Ms. Arlene works hard to staff our Vote Centers. She may be calling your phone soon. Pick up, she is very fun to talk to.

MCEB tested five percent of its 2,500+ machines, which were randomly selected by Ball State University's Voting System Technical Oversight Program (VSTOP). Staff found no errors in this morning's two-hour simulation.
“Marion County voters can be confident our voting equipment is in working order for Early Voting and Election Day and their votes will be counted,” said Clerk Kate Sweeney Bell. “We test our voting machines, openly and transparently, prior to every single election to guarantee it.”
