I am honored to earn the endorsement and support of the NWIBCTC. They, their affiliate unions, and thousands of skilled tradesemen and tradeswomen continue to show that the union trained, skilled workforce in Northwest Indiana is the best there is in the entire Country. 25 years ago today, I was driving a truck in LaPorte County and listening to Mancow's Morning Madhouse when the report of a plane crashing into one of the towers of the World Trade Center was shared. At first, everyone thought it was some small, single-engine plane that made a terrible error. What we found out as the next moments unfolded was something that left a permanent mark on my life and the lives of so many. I pray we never forget the memories of those lost that day and those who would lose their lives in days and years to come in the war and because of the aftermath of the attacks on 9/11. Never forget!

Thats a wrap! 113 tanker loads and 5 days and 4 hours later. Thanks to the Lake Central School Corp for allowing me to live in my truck for 4 nights here to get this job done. Thanks to the amazing Schereville water dept. for making everything work so smoothly. Thanks to my team who jumped in with another truck when available. Challenging work, but challenges make us better! Quick note: just to backwash this pool it requires around 50k gallons! That is 2 times the size of an average resedential pool. Fun fact: my first job driving a truck was as a teenager filling swimming pools in a single axle straight truck alongside my grandfather every summer. Bigger trucks, bigger pools, fond memories of working with one of my all time favorite people.
