As you may know, the Washington Township Operating Referendum renewal is on the ballot this November 3rd. This funding is not a new tax — it is a renewal of existing support that keeps our schools running, our teachers supported, and our programs intact. It funds ~300 of the district's 1800 positions! Information about this fun day:

Wednesday, May 20 will be Westlane's annual Day of Good. Please encourage your student to dress according to their grade level color (8th: Shades of Blue, 7th: Shades of Red/Pink, 6th: Black/Gray/White).

This day is a fundraiser and there will be many ways to participate! Students will be able to purchase candy and snacks throughout the day. There will also be a KONA Ice truck. These two options will take cash or tap. In additional to that, students can pay to dunk a teacher or tattoo a teacher. These activities will be cash only! There will also be voting for their favorite musical act from the teacher performances and that is done with cash as well!

The ROAR Store will be open for the last time on that day as well. Only ROAR bucks are accepted there! :)

All of the money made goes to the Adam Goodman AVID Scholarship which is awarded to two NC Seniors from the AVID Elective! It's up to $2500 a piece! Our goal is the same every year: to donate more than we did the year before! So, dress your student in the appropriate color, fill their pockets full of spending money, and wait for them to get home that day and tell you about their new favorite day of school!

We need YOU! Day of Good is an extremely meaningful day and is a day each year where we all (students and staff) get to really enjoy each other and feel the goodness that exists!! 🙂 Day of Good is in memory of former Westlane teacher Adam Goodman.
