We pursue relationships with those experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis because we believe that ALL people, regardless of race, gender or social status deserve to be treated with respect and to be loved simply because of the hope and grace that God has offered to ALL of us.

Christmas Greetings PBJ Indy friends! I am SO excited that Christmas falls on a Tuesday this year! And YES!, we will be there but I need your help with a few things.

Please remember - that every little bit helps, whether it’s one pair of socks or 5 sandwiches! Making a difference is SO MUCH SIMPLER than we make it out to be!!

This year, since we will be downtown ON Christmas Day, I would LOVE to be able to hand my friends something to unwrap. This is why all of the socks and gloves we hand out will be wrapped! 😃

If you can help with any of the following, please message me. I am happy to pick up items too!! Thank you SO much!

• 50 lunchmeat or bologna sandwiches (I know we’re ‘PBJ’ Indy, but for Christmas this year we’re going a little rogue 😉)
• 25 PBJ sandwiches
• Men’s socks - New or very gently used *each pair wrapped if possible*
• Men’s gloves - New or very gently used *each wrapped if possible*

I also want to thank Kindness Crusaders for faithfully providing the baked goods as they do for us every year!!

THANK YOU to everyone who played a part in our BIG TUESDAY this year!
Because of all of the donations we received we were able to serve/give away chili, ham & bean soup, cornbread, Christmas goodies, hot chocolate, bottles of water, clementines, blankets, hygiene kits, hats, gloves, socks, and hand warmers. And we had an amazing army that braved the cold temperatures to be there!
Because of you we made a difference in the lives of 50 men and women.

Isaiah 58:10 “If you spend yourselves in behalf of the hungry and satisfy the needs of the oppressed, then your light will rise in the darkness, and your night will become like the noonday.”

Thank you friends for being a light! 💜

Looking forward to our BIG Tuesday this week to spread a little Christmas cheer to our friends downtown!
We will be serving chili, ham & bean soup, cornbread, treats, fruit, hot chocolate and water. We will also be handing out socks, blankets and hygiene kits.

PBJIndy friends, in just one month we will be celebrating FIVE years of serving downtown each and every Tuesday! We are a simple ministry, our sole purpose being to show up consistently and live out God's love in order to bring hope to our friends at the park.

Thank you to the many people who have served with us, donated items and prayed for us over these last five years.
If you have not yet served with us but have an interest in doing so - come on! Message me and let me share with you what it would look like. Or you can reach out on our FB page and one of our past volunteers can tell you what their experience was like.

Like one of my favorite songs, we can look around at the current state of this world we live in and question 'God, why don't you do something?!?' But I am sure that His response, just like in the song, will be - 'I did! I created YOU!'

PBJ Indy friends - we are looking for a few good bakers!

One way to show our friends downtown how thankful we are for them is to include a special homemade treat in their lunch the week of thanksgiving. Would you be willing and able to provide their treat this year? We need a total of 50+ individually wrapped homemade sweet treats of your choice (cookies, brownies, etc) - something that would not require a fork. We need them by next Monday evening.

A HUGE thank you to the Grace Care Center for the lunch sacks they prepared for us to hand out this week... complete with hand warmers and socks/gloves. They warmed our hearts and our homeless friends' hearts on a very cold and windy day. 😊
