🏛️✈️ IMSA West Students Earn National Recognition and an All-Expense-Paid Trip to Washington, D.C.! 🎉
We are proud to celebrate three outstanding IMSA West students — Samuel Ojeleye, Jonathan Saintrose, and Feranmi Famewo — who recently earned an incredible opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C. after placing among the Top 10 scoring teams in the nation in a highly competitive financial education challenge sponsored by the SIFMA Foundation.🏆🏅
Competing against thousands of teams from across the country, these students demonstrated exceptional knowledge, critical thinking, teamwork, and financial literacy skills to achieve this remarkable distinction.
During their multi-day experience in our nation's capital, students explored the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum, toured the U.S. Capitol, attended professional networking events, and met with leaders from major financial institutions including Morgan Stanley and RBC. They gained firsthand insight into careers in finance, investing, and financial planning while representing IMSA West with professionalism, curiosity, and excellence.
Mrs. Tschaenn, who joined the student delegation as the chaperone, offered “It was an AMAZING experience all around with everyone celebrating the accomplishments of our students which made them all feel so special.”
This achievement reflects not only the hard work and dedication of our students, but also the high-quality instruction, rigorous academic programs, and real-world learning opportunities that define the IMSA West experience.
IMSA West is part of the Concept Schools family of public charter schools - a network with roughly 15,000 students in 7 midwestern states.

ℹ️The Capitol Hill Challenge (CHC) is a 14-week national financial education competition run by the SIFMA Foundation and generously underwritten by the Charles Schwab Foundation. It reaches thousands of students in high-needs schools every year by pairing members of Congress with up to two public schools in their congressional district. CHC ensures underserved youth get early exposure to saving, investing, and civics, through managing a hypothetical $100,000 online portfolio and access to the SIFMA Foundation's financial education curriculum. At the end of the competition, the top 10 performing teams are recognized, including at a reception and meetings in Washington, D.C.
